2022 Scott Fish Bowl Mock Draft Recap

The 12th annual Scott Fish Bowl is upon us, and we’re back with another mock draft recap! The Scott Fish Bowl is a pro-am tournament that has been running since 2010 and brings together analysts, celebrities, and former athletes alike. The rules are simple- it’s a superflex, 0.5 PPR league with decimal kicker scoring and a tight end premium (+0.5 PPR and +0.5 for a 1st down). Passing touchdowns are worth six points, interceptions are worth -4 points, and players get 0.5 for a first down. The rest is fairly standard. There will be up to 250 12-team leagues with slow drafts starting on July 11th. 12 members of the Player Profiler community that are competing in the Scott Fish Bowl came together for this mock on June 24th and here are the results.

Round 1

1.01- Josh Allen, QB, Bills

1.02- Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers

1.03- Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams

1.04- Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts

1.05- Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs

1.06- Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals

1.07- Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens

1.08- Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings

1.09- Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles

1.10- Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers

1.11- Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Bengals

1.12- Derrick Henry, RB, Titans

Round 1 Takeaways

You know it’s a superflex when six out 12 picks were quarterback. The order in this case seems about right as well, although Kyler Murray falling out of the first is strange. Cooper Kupp going at No. 3 overall makes Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase look like potential value at their No. 8 and No. 11 pick unless Kupp goes for another triple crown of course. Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry are definitely risky picks, but if they do stay healthy, they will definitely outperform their late round one ADP.

Round 2

2.01- Najee Harris, RB, Steelers

2.02- Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals

2.03- Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks

2.04- Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers

2.05- Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys

2.06- Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs

2.07- Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings

2.08- DeAndre Swift, RB, Lions

2.09- Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills

2.10- Davante Adams, WR, Raiders

2.11- Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens

2.12- Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons

Round 2 Takeaways

Round two in this draft is when the tight end premium started to come into play. Travis Kelce was drafted at No. 18, Mark Andrews at pick No. 23, and Kyle Pitts at No. 24. Pitts and Andrews at the back of round two seems like a great potential play in the coming drafts. Andrews especially should be the first tight end off the board, but it looks like Kelce is going to go first in at least a few Scott Fish Bowl drafts. Round two presents some good value all around. The wide receivers taken are solid and same goes for the running backs and quarterbacks. Kyler Murray, Dalvin Cook, D’Andre Swift, Austin Ekeler and Stefon Diggs are all great second round picks to look out for.

Round 3

3.01- Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams

3.02- Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals

3.03- CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys

3.04- Aaron Jones, RB, Packers

3.05- Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants

3.06- Leonard Fournette, RB, Buccaneers

3.07- Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers

3.08- Trey Lance, QB, 49ers

3.09- Tom Brady, QB, Buccaneers

3.10- Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos

3.11- Nick Chubb, RB, Browns

3.12- A.J. Brown, WR, Eagles

Round 3 Takeaways

In the Scott Fish Bowl drafts, there is a reversal in order for the third round. This allows for the people in the back of the first round to make up for missing out on the top tier players taken early.

Even though there is a tight end premium, there were no tight ends taken in this round. This signifies the tier gap between Kelce, Andrews, Pitts, and the rest of the tight ends. Either take your chance on those guys early or wait it out for a different tight end. There were three Buccaneers taken in round three who are all capable of outperforming their ADP. Tom Brady, Leonard Fournette, and Mike Evans are excellent options in this round. Also, if injury concerns are going to be ignored for Henry and McCaffrey, Barkley’s third round ADP could present really solid value.

Round 4

4.01- Derek Carr, QB, Raiders

4.02- Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers

4.03- Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints

4.04- Cam Akers, RB, Rams

4.05- Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings

4.06- Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins

4.07- Matt Ryan, QB, Colts

4.08- Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars

4.09- Tyreek Hill, WR, Dolphins

4.10- Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers

4.11- Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers

4.12- Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Cowboys

Round 4 Takeaways

Again in round four, there were no tight ends taken. If you’re not after Kelce, Andrews, or Pitts it seems you can definitely wait it out a few rounds to get your guy. Round four also had six quarterbacks taken off the board. All of these QBs were going to a team that already had a quarterback, thus these guys were all superflex options. ECDelauter even got a third quarterback with Kirk Cousins. Some teams still had no quarterbacks at this point in the draft.

In terms of the skill players taken in this round, they all carry some sort of risk but also have solid upside. Alvin Kamara may get suspended. Cam Akers is coming off an Achilles injury. Tyreek Hill is going to a new team. Deebo Samuel may not be utilized the same way he was last year. Keenan Allen is 30 with an injury history. Ezekiel Elliot is showing signs of regression.

Round 5

5.01- Breece Hall, RB, Jets

5.02- James Conner, RB, Cardinals

5.03- Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals

5.04- George Kittle, TE, 49ers

5.05- Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars

5.06- Michael Pittman, WR, Colts

5.07- Darren Waller, TE, Raiders

5.08- Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers

5.09- Antonio Gibson, RB, Commanders

5.10- Justin Fields, QB, Bears

5.11- Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders

5.12- J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ravens

Round 5 Takeaways

With George Kittle and Darren Waller coming off the board, the next tier of tight ends was taken. Kittle and Waller are exceptional athletes with injury and usage concerns, but they both have really high ceilings. Getting either of them in the fifth in a league with a tight end premium could pay off big time. This round in general provides great value. Every pick in this round has substantial upside with minimal concerns- they just aren’t really real-life stars like they are fantasy stars. Dutts13 waited until round five to get his first quarterback in Justin Fields. Personally, I think you should probably try to get your quarterback earlier in a superflex league. However, if Fields gets to his potential this pick will pay dividends as Dutts got great value at other positions earlier in the draft.

Round 6

6.01- Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders

6.02- D.K. Metcalf, WR, Seahawks

6.03- Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins

6.04- Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos

6.05- D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers

6.06- David Montgomery, RB, Bears

6.07- T.J. Hockenson, TE, Lions

6.08- Dalton Schultz, TE, Cowboys

6.09- Allen Robinson, WR, Rams

6.10- Mike Williams, WR, Chargers

6.11- Kenneth Walker, RB, Seahawks

6.12- Jameis Winston, QB, Saints

Round 6 Takeaways

Tight ends are starting to come off the board again with Dalton Schultz and T.J. Hockenson going back-to-back.  Hockenson and Schultz are both very capable of outperforming their late ADP especially with the tight end premium. Cody Carpentier waited until round six to get his second quarterback in Jameis Winston. Three QBs went in round seven, so it makes sense to take his choice at quarterback with this pick as there would likely not be another chance. Round six had tons of value with a few alphas even still hanging around this late into the draft. Jaylen Waddle, D.K. Metcalf, D.J. Moore and Mike Williams are great wide receiver talents with upside. The running backs taken in this round have bell-cow potential as well. Round six could be a chance to get great value in drafts this year.

Round 7

7.01- Marquise Brown, WR, Cardinals

7.02- Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins

7.03- Mac Jones, QB, Patriots

7.04- Ryan Tannehill, QB, Titans

7.05- Brandin Cooks, WR, Texans

7.06- Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles

7.07- Amari Cooper, WR, Browns

7.08- Jerry Jeudy, WR, Broncos

7.09- Darnell Mooney, WR, Bears

7.10- Jared Goff, QB, Lions

7.11- Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs

7.12- A.J. Dillon, RB, Packers

Round 7 Takeaways

While Dutts13, SomeGuyFF, and RobFFSlater all got their second QB in this round, I decided to wait it out. I wanted Jared Goff and thought I’d be able to get him at the end of round eight, but I was wrong. Based on this mock, you need to try to get your second quarterback by round eight unless you’re a believer in guys like Davis Mills, Zach Wilson, Marcus Mariota, and Jimmy Garoppolo. These guys could work out but are better as late round flyers than being depended on week to week as your superflex option. This is also the last gasp for team’s No. 1 wide receivers with Brandin Cooks, Amari Cooper, and Darnell Mooney all going off the board.

Round 8

8.01- Rashod Bateman, WR, Ravens

8.02- Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers

8.03- Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals

8.04- Drake London, WR, Falcons

8.05- Juju Smith-Schuster, WR, Chiefs

8.06- Elijah Mitchell, RB, 49ers

8.07- Zach Wilson, QB, Jets

8.08- Gabriel Davis, WR, Bills

8.09- DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Cardinals

8.10- Devonta Smith, WR, Eagles

8.11- Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles

8.12- Michael Thomas, WR, Saints

Round 8 Takeaways

AhaanRungta got Zach Wilson in round eight, making that 10 out of 12 teams already having their superflex sorted out. Keep that in mind when drafting in the coming weeks. Devonta Smith and Gabriel Davis should provide solid value next season. Elijah Mitchell has the chance to take hold of the 49ers backfield if he stays healthy, so there is good value there too. Michael Thomas, DeAndre Hopkins, and Chris Godwin all have some concerns about when they will, if at all, next season. If you are content with the risk, keep an eye on where they fall on draft night. Goedert going at No. 95 is 20 spots lower than his No. 75 player ranking for the Scott Fish Bowl. If you want to wait for tight end, he could provide good value given the tight end premium.

Round 9

9.01- Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings

9.02- Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions

9.03- Elijah Moore, WR, Jets

9.04- Chris Olave, WR, Saints

9.05- Melvin Gordon, RB, Broncos

9.06- Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns

9.07- Russell Gage, WR, Buccaneers

9.08- Tony Pollard, RB, Cowboys

9.09- Damien Harris, RB, Patriots

9.10- Dawson Knox, TE, Bills

9.11- Treylon Burks, WR, Titans

9.12- Brandon Aiyuk, WR, 49ers

Round 9 Takeaways

Two out of the 12 teams still only have one quarterback after this round as round nine was the first round with no quarterback taken. PChaussard picked Damien Harris, and I picked Amon-Ra St. Brown. Both of us opted to continue to wait it out on a second QB. This round was filled with solid value picks. All of these players get good usage on their teams and will be reliable options for their fantasy owners.

Round 10

10.01- Allen Lazard, WR, Packers

10.02- Zach Ertz, TE, Cardinals

10.03- Irv Smith, TE, Vikings

10.04- Daniel Jones, QB, Giants

10.05- Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks

10.06- Garrett Wilson, WR, Saints

10.07- Rashaad Penny, RB, Seahawks

10.08- Hunter Renfrow, WR, Raiders

10.09- Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, Falcons

10.10- Devin Singletary, RB, Bills

10.11- Christian Watson, WR, Packers

10.12- Cole Kmet, TE, Bears

Round 10 Takeaways

PChaussard decided to not wait any longer and took Daniel Jones leaving only me still with one quarterback. Also in this round, three tight ends were taken. Zach Ertz and Irv Smith were taken as backup options to Kelce and Andrews. Whereas Cody Carpentier took Cole Kmet as his first tight end and then also took Hunter Henry at the turn of the round with 11.1. I wrote about Hunter Renfrow and Cordarrelle Patterson in my value series and seeing them go in round 10 shows that they are cheap options at their positions. Patterson was excellent last season with a sub 50-percent snap share, and Renfrow finished as WR10 in PPR last season. Both should be great options for fantasy owners in 2022 as they are capable of outperforming ADP by a wide margin.

Round 11

11.01- Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots

11.02- Davis Mills, QB, Texans

11.03- Carson Wentz, QB, Commanders

11.04- Robert Woods, WR, Rams

11.05- Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals

11.06- Chase Claypool, WR, Steelers

11.07- James Cook, RB, Bills

11.08- Christian Kirk, WR, Jaguars

11.09- Kadarius Toney, WR, Giants

11.10- Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Steelers

11.11- Michael Carter, RB, Jets

11.12- Jahan Dotson, WR, Commanders

Round 11 Takeaways

I decided I probably shouldn’t wait any longer to draft a quarterback. I drafted Davis Mills to be my superflex QB. He looked pretty solid in his rookie year, and it’s possible he takes a step forward in 2022. Mills is probably still better as a third option in a superflex league rather than a main starter until he proves otherwise. RobFFSlayer and Dutts13 used this round to get Mitchell Trubisky and Carson Wentz as their third quarterbacks. Christian Kirk is a name to watch as he is likely the WR1 on the Jaguars.  If Trevor Lawrence takes a step forward, Kirk could definitely outperform his ADP.

Round 12

12.01- Deshaun Watson, QB, Browns

12.02- Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots

12.03- Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Eagles

12.04- Jakobi Meyers, WR, Patriots

12.05- Pat Freiermuth, TE, Steelers

12.06- Isaiah Spiller, RB, Chargers

12.07- Tim Patrick, WR, Broncos

12.08- Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers

12.09- Alexander Mattison, RB, Vikings

12.10- Kenny Golladay, WR, Giants

12.11- Dameon Pierce, RB, Texans

12.12- Skyy Moore, WR, Chiefs

Round 12 Takeaways

If someone was wondering where Deshaun Watson would go, round 12 is the answer for this mock draft. This pick in particular was made before Baker Mayfield was officially traded so Watson’s ADP may go up. Or it could remain unaltered, I guess we will find out. The Watson situation in general is difficult to follow, and the punishment that may or may not be handed out is still unclear. Latest reports suggest the NFL is wanting to do an indefinite suspension, but the Watson camp is fighting it. If someone is looking for some rookie picks, all four of these guys have good potential. Skyy Moore and Dameon Pierce will probably have more immediate usage. Whereas Isaiah Spiller and Rachaad White are solid handcuffs.

Round 13

13.01- Jarvis Landry, WR, Saints

13.02- Jameson Williams, WR, Lions

13.03- D’Onta Foreman, RB, Panthers

13.04- Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Chiefs

13.05- Marlon Mack, RB, Texans

13.06- Tyler Allgeier, RB, Falcons

13.07- Rondale Moore, WR, Cardinals

13.08- Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts

13.09- Michael Gallup, WR, Cowboys

13.10- D.J. Chark, WR, Lions

13.11- Ronald Jones, RB, Chiefs

13.12- Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Broncos

Round 13 Takeaways

No quarterbacks were taken in this round although there are still a few starters left. Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield, and Marcus Mariota are options this late in the draft. If you believe in either of those, you could hold off for a while on drafting them. Jameson Williams may be great value this late in the draft. Hopkins and Godwin were drafted more than a few rounds earlier and are pretty much guaranteed to miss games in 2022. Granted they are proven all-stars and Williams is a rookie, but the ceiling is high for Williams. Rondale Moore is another exciting pick here. He was utilized frequently in his rookie year and with Hopkins suspended for the first few games he has a real chance to step up into a big role in the Cardinals offense.

Round 14

14.01- Tyrion Davis-Price, RB, 49ers

14.02- Devante Parker, WR, Patriots

14.03- Khalil Herbert, RB, Bears

14.04- Marcus Mariota, QB, Falcons

14.05- Noah Fant, TE, Seahawks

14.06- Jalen Tolbert, WR, Cowboys

14.07- Alec Pierce, WR, Colts

14.08- Darrell Williams, RB, Cardinals

14.09- Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams

14.10- Evan Engram, TE, Jaguars

14.11- Robert Tonyan, TE, Packers

14.12- Justin Tucker, K, Ravens

Round 14 Takeaways

There were four tight ends taken in this round. All four of these guys are the starters on their team and should see solid volume. Robert Tonyan and Tyler Higbee have the added benefit of being on good offenses. Tonyan has another added benefit of vacated targets on the offense with Davante Adams leaving. The first kicker in this draft was taken as well in Justin Tucker. Kickers are scored decimally meaning they get one point for making a field goal and 0.1 points per yard- so a 36 yarder gets 4.6 points total. Kickers can also be flexed, so a good kicker could potentially be a consistent 10 points or so. It is definitely something to consider.

Round 15

15.01- Evan McPherson, K, Bengals

15.02- Darrell Henderson, RB, Rams

15.03- J.D. McKissic, RB, Commanders

15.04- Daniel Carlson, K, Raiders

15.05- Gerald Everett, TE, Seahawks

15.06- Jamison Crowder, WR, Bills

15.07- Curtis Samuel, WR, Commanders

15.08- David Njoku, TE, Browns

15.09- Hayden Hurst, TE, Bengals

15.10- David Bell, WR, Browns

15.11- Brycen Jordan, TE, Texans

15.12- Zamir White, RB, Raiders

Round 15 Takeaways

The kicker scoring was definitely considered by Cody Carpentier as he went back-to-back kicker and started the round by picking Evan McPherson. He would now have two of the best kickers and some consistent scorers at a late ADP. SomeGuyFF also went ahead and got his kicker, choosing Daniel Carlson. Also, in this round there were another four tight ends taken off the board. That is now eight taken in back-to-back rounds. David Njoku and Hayden Hurst especially could provide solid value in 2022. These mid-to-late rounds seem to be where people are taking their tight end dart throws.

Round 16

16.01- George Pickens, WR, Steelers

16.02- Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers

16.03- James Robinson, RB, Jaguars

16.04- Austin Hooper, TE, Titans

16.05- Brian Robinson, RB, Commanders

16.06- Baker Mayfield, QB, Panthers

16.07- Cameron Brate, TE, Buccaneers

16.08- Harrison Butker, K, Chiefs

16.09- Raheem Mostert, RB, Dolphins

16.10- Gus Edwards, RB, Ravens

16.11- Younghoe Koo, K, Falcons

16.12- Matt Gay, K, Rams

Round 16 Takeaways

Two starting quarterbacks were selected in this round- Jimmy Garoppolo and Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is now probably starting for the Panthers. Garoppolo still hasn’t been traded, so he may still be the starter for the 49ers.  James Robinson is a name to watch this offseason as he is recovering from injury but has proven value. Robinson is a good running back, but with an Achilles injury and Etienne also on the team, his role is in question. Either way though, round 16 ADP on a former RB1 is excellent upside with low risk.

Also, in this round three kickers were taken. Younghoe Koo, Matt Gay, and Harrison Butker are all excellent kickers and great value considering these guys are more than capable of being the No. 1 overall kicker. Butker being tied to the Chiefs means he should get plenty of points. The same goes for Gay with the Rams. Koo plays in a dome and has proven consistency as a kicker from range even if the Falcons’ offense isn’t as explosive as most teams.

Round 17

17.01- Mecole Hardman, WR, Chiefs

17.02- John Metchie, WR, Texans

17.03- K.J. Osborn, WR, Vikings

17.04- Jamaal Williams, RB, Lions

17.05- Kenny Pickett, QB, Steelers

17.06- Sony Michel, RB, Dolphins

17.07- Logan Thomas, TE, Commanders

17.08- Nico Collins, WR, Texans

17.09- Hassan Haskins, RB, Titans

17.10- Josh Palmer, WR, Chargers

17.11- Van Jefferson, WR, Rams

17.12- Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Giants

Round 17 Takeaways

Kenny Pickett will probably end up starting at some point during the season, so getting him in the 17th round could pay dividends. Round 17 had plenty of handcuff picks with upside if someone on their team were to get injured. Josh Palmer would be an every week starter if either Mike Williams or Keenan Allen went down. Hassan Haskins would see plenty of volume if Derrick Henry reinjures his foot. Jamaal Williams is a great choice if D’Andre Swift gets hurt. These are the types of guys available in the next few rounds.

Round 18

18.01- K.J. Hamler, WR, Broncos

18.02- Parris Campbell, WR, Colts

18.03- Tyler Bass, K, Bills

18.04- Keaontay Ingram, RB, Cardinals

18.05- Eno Benjamin, RB, Cardinals

18.06- Chuba Hubbard, RB, Panthers

18.07- C.J. Uzomah, TE, Jets

18.08- Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Browns

18.09- Rob Gronkowski, TE

18.10- Marvin Jones, WR, Jaguars

18.11- Corey Davis, WR, Jets

18.12- Desmond Ridder, QB, Falcons

Round 18 Takeaways

Round 18 is similar to round 17 in that the picks are handcuffs and dart throws. Rob Gronkowski did retire, but he’s changed his mind before and may change his mind again. If so, the 18th round value is well worth the risk. Donovan Peoples-Jones is an interesting pick as well as he is the Browns WR2. If Deshaun Watson isn’t suspended for very long, Peoples-Jones could have a solid second half stretch. Regardless, Peoples-Jones is still a WR2 on a solid offense regardless of who is quarterback. He should outperform his ADP. Tyler Bass is a good kicker option as well although he does play in harsh weather games in the second half of the year being in Buffalo.

Round 19

19.01- Sammy Watkins, WR, Packers

19.02- Devin Duvernay, WR, Ravens

19.03- Mark Ingram, RB, Saints

19.04- Odell Beckham, WR

19.05- Rodrigo Blankenship, K, Colts

19.06- James White, RB, Patriots

19.07- Nick Folk, K, Patriots

19.08- Jerick McKinnon, RB, Chiefs

19.09- Snoop Conner, RB, Jaguars

19.10- Adam Trautman, TE, Saints

19.11- Will Lutz, K, Saints

19.12- Damien Williams, RB, Falcons

Round 19 Takeaways

At this point, everyone is just taking their shots. It’s the pick I made, but Devin Duvernay is now the WR2 on the Ravens. Granted that’s No. 3 on the pecking order, but he has 94th-percentile speed score and was drafted in the third round in 2020. He will get some usage in 2022 and is well worth a pick in the 19th round. Mark Ingram could outperform his ADP as well with the chance of Alvin Kamara getting suspended. If so, there will be a few games where Ingram will be the bell-cow. That’s about as good of value as you can get in these rounds.

Round 20

20.01- Lavishka Shenault, WR, Jaguars

20.02- Boston Scott, RB, Eagles

20.03- D’Ernest Johnson, RB, Bears

20.04- Chris Boswell, K, Steelers

20.05- Abram Smith, RB, Saints

20.06- Matt Prater, K, Cardinals

20.07- A.J. Green, WR, Cardinals

20.08- Matt Corral, QB, Panthers

20.09- Trey Sermon, RB, 49ers

20.10- Damien Hilliard, RB, Titans

20.11- Tyquan Thornton, WR, Patriots

20.12- Kendrick Bourne, WR, Patriots

Round 20 Takeaways

Unfortunately, this draft was done before Baker Mayfield went to the Panthers otherwise Matt Corral would’ve been solid value. Corral would’ve probably beaten out Sam Darnold at some point but who knows now. Similar to Mark Ingram, Abram Smith will probably be utilized at least a little bit if Kamara gets suspended. Ingram will likely be the main focus, but he will be 33 next season. It’s very possible Smith and Ingram split usage. A.J. Green is also in a similar position where he will be used more to begin the season since Hopkins is suspended. Green will likely get some redzone work and could be a solid flex option if needed.

Round 21

21.01- Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB, Buccaneers

21.02- Jelani Woods, TE, Colts

21.03- Moe Alie-Cox, TE, Colts

21.04- Brandon McManus, K, Broncos

21.05- Randall Cobb, WR, Packers

21.06- Robbie Gould, K, 49ers

21.07- Drew Lock, QB, Seahawks

21.08- Pierre Strong, RB, Patriots

21.09- Leddie Brown, RB, Chargers

21.10- Robby Anderson, WR, Panthers

21.11- Will Fuller, WR

21.12- Taysom Hill, TE, Saints

Round 21 Takeaways

Whichever Colts tight end gains the favor of Matt Ryan will prove to be excellent value in 2022. My money is on third round rookie Jelani Woods who is 6-7, 257-pounds, and scores above the 82nd-percentile in every workout metric on Player Profiler. He has an excellent profile and should hopefully get plenty of volume in the Colts offense. Randall Cobb is an interesting pick as well as he has a well-established connection with Aaron Rodgers. He won’t blow the roof off, but he could get some consistent volume with so many new targets coming to Green Bay in 2022. Taysom Hill also got his tight end eligibility back, and if he even has one game where he has to be quarterback, he will be well worth the pick.

Round 22

22.01- Ryan Succop, K, Buccaneers

22.02- Julius Chestnut, RB, Titans

22.03- Julio Jones, WR

22.04- Justin Watson, WR, Chiefs

22.05- Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Giants

22.06- Donald Parham, TE, Chargers

22.07- Tyler Badie, RB, Ravens

22.08- Matt Breida, RB, Giants

22.09- Isaiah McKenzie, WR, Bills

22.10- Greg Joseph, K, Vikings

22.11- Chris Evans, RB, Bengals

22.12- Khalil Shakir, WR, Bills

Round 22 Takeaways

This round was filled with dart throws, but there’s definitely some upside with some of these guys. Ryan Succop is a solid kicker on a great offense, so that’s a good pick here. Matt Breida is Saquon Barkley‘s backup and will be immediately thrust into a bell-cow role if Barkley were to get hurt. Breida is not too shabby himself either with a 100th-percentile burst score. There are also reports of Justin Watson impressing Patrick Mahomes at camp. With Tyreek Hill gone, and Travis Kelce aging, someone will have to step up. Watson has a solid profile and a chance at targets from one of the best QBs in the league. That’s great upside in the last round of the draft.

Conclusion

And finally, we have finished the Scott Fish Bowl mock draft! Hopefully this mock helped inform some draft decisions when it comes time for the real Scott Fish Bowl drafts. Personally, I will not wait as long as I did to get a second quarterback come draft night, and if I don’t get Mark Andrews or Kyle Pitts, I will probably wait it out on tight end. Here are some teambuilding stats that seem valuable- only two teams had less than three quarterbacks, and four teams had more than one kicker. Keep that in mind when drafting those positions. It’s important to get your guys early.

Thanks for reading along and good luck in the 12th annual Scott Fish Bowl!
