Week 7 Waiver Wire: Top Fantasy Football Pickups (2025)

by Wolf Trelles-Heard · Featured

Welcome to the Week 7 Waiver Wire. In this article, Wolf Trelles-Heard highlights the players you should prioritize on waivers as we head into Week 7. The targets are listed in shallow, standard, and deeper league options. However, there will be the most options under the standard column, as that will be the most popular range of targets.

Week 7 Shallow League Waiver Wire Targets

Note: This range will primarily apply to home leagues and those with shorter benches, with players available in at least 25% of leagues. Each player is listed with their current rostership percentage and a recommended FAAB bid range for a $100 budget. All values are in reference to four-point per passing touchdown leagues with PPR scoring unless otherwise noted.

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford, Rams (74% rostered) | $4-6

Why is this man not almost universally rostered? Let’s help change that. Matthew Stafford is leading the NFL in passing yards and is off to one of the best starts of his career. He’s top two in several key categories — deep balls, air yards, and money throws — and he’s ranked as the QB3 in PlayerProfiler’s Explosive Rating.

The 17-year veteran has the Jaguars and then a bye, but he has some juicy matchups after the break: Saints, 49ers, Seahawks. Buccaneers, and Panthers. Add the gunslinger and future Hall of Famer to your lineup and enjoy the production.

Other Options: C.J. Stroud, Texans (63% rostered)

Running Back

Rico Dowdle, Panthers (62% rostered) | $30-40

Raise your hand if you saw back-to-back 200-yard performances from Rico Dowdle coming. Now, put your hand down and stop lying. But seriously, what Dowdle has done lately is nuts. His 389 rushing yards over the past two games are more than guys like Saquon Barkley, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Christian McCaffrey have all season. Pretty wild.

You can’t put him back on the bench if you’re the Panthers. Even when Chuba Hubbard is healthy, Dowdle has earned a serious share of the work. RB-needy managers will obviously need to be super aggressive with their bids. Putting up back-to-back RB1 overall finishes makes Dowdle a coveted asset. Don’t expect this output again, but he does have the Jets this week. Let’s see what happens with Hubbard, but Dowdle is a must-start as long as he is leading the Panthers’ backfield.

Nick Chubb, Texans (68% rostered) | $2-4

Before the bye week, Nick Chubb saw his lowest snap share of the season (34%), but he remained the preferred early-down option and out-touched rookie Woody Marks 11 to seven.

He’s no longer the workhorse of old, but Chubb is still producing a respectable 4.3 YPC and averaging 13 touches a game. His 9.7 fantasy PPG won’t carry you to victory in any weeks, but if you’re in a pinch and need a warm body to plug into your RB2 or flex spot, Chubb should come cheap. He’s a solid-floor, low-ceiling fill-in, but sometimes that’s all you need.

Other Options: Kenneth Gainwell, Steelers (52% rostered)

Wide Receiver

Romeo Doubs, Packers (47% rostered) | $5-7

He’s not going to blow the doors off with his yardage totals, but Romeo Doubs currently averages 13.1 PPG. That’s high-end WR3 territory. In the game before Green Bay’s Week 5 bye, Doubs saw eight targets and caught three TDs. He followed that up by earning nine more targets, securing five of them for 55 yards vs. the Bengals on Sunday.

The Packers don’t move him around at all: Doubs plays their X, and he does it well — especially against man coverage. Doubs is the WR4 in points per route run against man (0.85) and WR4 in fantasy points per target against man (3.48). He clearly has QB Jordan Love‘s trust, and while Doubs isn’t flashy, he’s dependable, and sometimes that’s essential to a lineup.

Other Options: Rashid Shaheed, Saints (73% rostered), Josh Downs, Colts (54% rostered)

Tight End

Evan Engram, Broncos (67% rostered) | $2-4

It seems Sean Payton’s “Joker” just needed a few games to get warmed up. The results aren’t earthshattering, but Evan Engram has quietly been more involved in the past three games. He’s seen 20 opportunities in that span, catching 13 passes for 104 yards with a TD. He even has a carry for seven yards, because why not? Joker!

Engram’s only worth a look in full PPR, as he’s averaging just 8.1 YPR. But when he’s out there, he’s getting looks. His 22.9% target share ranks 11th among TEs, and that makes him a decent add with upcoming matchups against the Giants and Cowboys if you’re streaming the position.

Other Options: Hunter Henry, Patriots (71% rostered)

Week 7 Standard League Waiver Wire Targets

Note: This range will primarily apply to most leagues with standard benches, with players available in at least 50% of leagues. Each player is listed with their current rostership percentage and a recommended FAAB bid range for a $100 budget. All values are in reference to four-point per passing touchdown leagues with PPR scoring unless otherwise noted.

Quarterback

Jaxson Dart, Giants (37% rostered) | $6-8

Like the giant diamond chain around his neck, Jaxson Dart shined brightly in primetime. The rookie put on a show, using his legs and arm to put down the defending Super Bowl champs. Dart threw for 195 yards and a TD and rushed for 58 yards on 13 carries, adding another TD.

More importantly, he protected the football after a three-turnover performance the week prior. Dart joined rarefied air with his performance — he joins Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts as the only QBs in NFL history with 50+ rushing yards in their first three starts. Impressive, young Skywalker.

Dart offers immense upside due to his wheels, scoring at least 17.6 fantasy points in every start. If you’ve been disappointed with guys like Kyler Murray or Bo Nix, put a bid in for Dart and inject some juice into your QB spot.

Sam Darnold, Seahawks (27% rostered) | $3-5

Look at Sam Darnold proving the haters and doubters wrong. He’s led the Seahawks to a 4-2 record so far, playing some very efficient football in the process. With 1,541 passing yards and 11 TDs to only three interceptions, Darnold is currently the QB11 in fantasy and has posted back-to-back QB1 finishes.

Darnold has a tough matchup this week against the Texans, who have allowed only a 58.8% completion rate and three passing TDs so far. But Darnold’s been dealing as of late, and he’s throwing to one of the best WRs in the league in Jaxon Smith-Njigba. If you miss out on Dart, Darnold could be serviceable if needed.

Other Options: Daniel Jones, Colts (57% rostered)

Running Back

Kimani Vidal, Chargers (34% rostered) | $20-25

So much for the “Hassan Haskins will be the lead back” reports. While Haskins slogged his way to a measly 23 yards on seven touches, Kimani Vidal crushed in his first NFL start. He showed burst and quickness behind a beat-up Chargers offensive line, racking up 138 yards on 21 touches and scoring a receiving TD in the red zone.

With Omarion Hampton sidelined, Vidal looks like the guy going forward. For now. Reports over the weekend suggest that Hampton could be out longer than four weeks with his ankle injury, giving Vidal a window to build off his 22.8-fantasy point performance. His upcoming schedule isn’t bad: Colts, Vikings, and Titans. Be aggressive if you need RB help; Vidal looks like a low-end RB2 if he keeps seeing 20+ touches a week.

Tyjae Spears, Titans (35% rostered) | $2-3

There isn’t much upside in this pitiful Titans offense, but the Tyjae Spears backfield takeover appears to be underway. In just his second game back from injury, Spears out-snapped and out-gained Tony Pollard. He put up 9.0 fantasy points, rushing for 31 yards on five carries and catching four passes for 19 yards.

Pollard isn’t going to go away completely, but at 1-5, the Titans need a spark. Maybe Spears can be the guy who gives it to them in the backfield. Stash him on your bench for now and see if he can help jumpstart the offense — or at least make it a little less dreadful to watch.

Other Options: Tyler Allgeier, Falcons (33% rostered)

Wide Receiver

Wan’Dale Robinson, Giants (27% rostered) | $5-7

After being a PPR scam last year when he caught nothing but low aDOT dump-offs, Wan’Dale Robinson has become more of a boom-or-bust play in the vein of Rashid Shaheed or Jameson Williams. He has two games over 20 PPR points to go with three games under nine this season.

The slot maven balled out on Thursday night’s dismantling of the Eagles, leading the team in targets, catches, receiving yards, and bagging an impressive TD on an ad-lib play from Jaxson Dart. With Malik Nabers done for the year, Robinson should continue to see his fair share of looks — he’s averaging nearly seven targets and 59 yards per game.

If you need a guy who could pop off in your flex, consider plugging in Robinson. It won’t always be pretty, but this offense has life with Dart at the helm, and Robinson is currently his top target.

Kendrick Bourne, 49ers (23% rostered) | $3-5

The 49ers have been snake-bitten to start 2025. They’ve been missing key offensive pieces most of the season, particularly at WR. But much like the fictional government assassin with whom he shares a last name, Kendrick Bourne has been quietly killing it as of late.

Bourne has stepped up and been a chain-mover for backup QB Mac Jones, with a target share of over 22% in back-to-back games. He had a career day against the Rams, with 142 yards on 10 receptions. Bourne followed that up with another 142-yard performance vs. Tampa Bay, catching five of nine targets.

Watch the practice reports for Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings this week. Jennings told the media after Sunday’s game that he’s playing with five broken ribs and an ankle sprain. If both are trending towards another missed game, Bourne becomes a strong WR3 play. Anybody getting 284 yards in two games shouldn’t be sitting on waivers — he absolutely needs to be rostered.

Other Options: Marquise Brown, Chiefs (40% rostered), Troy Franklin, Broncos (34% rostered), Elic Ayomanor, Titans (32% rostered)

Tight End

Harold Fannin Jr., Browns (35% rostered) | $6-8

Looks like we have a new starting tight end in Cleveland: Harold Fannin Jr. He played 80% of the snaps in Week 6 and earned 10 targets from QB Dillon Gabriel, catching seven of them for 81 yards. That led the team in both categories. Meanwhile, David Njoku missed some snaps with injuries and caught just three balls for 28 yards.

Fannin Jr. has two juicy matchups upcoming against the Dolphins and Patriots before his bye week. With consecutive weeks of over 10+ PPR points, if Njoku misses time, Fannin Jr. becomes a must-start TE. Per PFF, Fannin Jr. has forced 11 missed tackles, the most among TEs and WRs. He could be a league-winner down the stretch for anyone that swung and missed on Brock Bowers or T.J. Hockenson.

Other Options: Mason Taylor, Jets (39% rostered), Juwan Johnson, Saints (35% rostered)

Week 7 Deep League Waiver Wire Targets

Note: This range will apply to leagues with deeper benches and more experienced managers, with players available in at least 75% of leagues. Each player is listed with their current rostership percentage and a recommended FAAB bid range for a $100 budget. All values are in reference to four-point per passing touchdown leagues with PPR scoring unless otherwise noted.

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers, Steelers (19% rostered) | $2-4

Is the old man back to being a viable fantasy play? In a tough matchup against Cleveland, Aaron Rodgers completed 70% of his passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. He looked for DK Metcalf often, targeting his alpha WR nine times for 95 yards and a score.

Rodgers is playable as he draws the lowly Cincinnati defense, which ranks #31 against the pass, on a short week. The Bengals have allowed 268 passing yards per game and 13 TDs through the air. After that, he faces his former team, the Packers, and we all know Rodgers is going to be motivated to put on a show against the organization he spent 18 years with. You likely won’t get any high-end QB1 games since he can’t run anymore, but Rodgers’ floor as a high-end QB2 seems pretty stable.

Other Options: Spencer Rattler, Saints (7% Rostered); Joe Flacco, Bengals (8% rostered)

Running Back

Kendre Miller, Saints (21% rostered) | $1-2

Going into Week 6, Kendre Miller had seen his snap share and touches rise every week. He’s become a 1B to Alvin Kamara‘s 1A, and he’s seeing meaningful early-down touches. Those numbers took a slight dip against the Patriots, but Miller’s role appears the same week over week. He’s averaging 4.0 YPC and is the RB1 in the league with a 47.6% juke rate.

Miller also possesses contingent upside in the event Kamara, who’s been on the injury report lately, gets traded or misses time. There were reports over the weekend that Kamara said he wants to remain in New Orleans for the remainder of his career, but things could change if another team comes knocking with a great offer. It is business after all. If Kamara is out of the lineup for any reason, Miller could become a low-end RB2 or flex option based solely on the volume he’ll receive weekly. Snag him now on the cheap in case that happens.

Isaiah Davis, Jets (7% rostered) | $0-1

I feel gross with the recommendation, but it really comes down to one reason: a potential Breece Hall trade. The Jets are now 0-6 after one of the worst offensive performances you’ll ever see in London vs. the Broncos. Isaiah Davis had just three touches for one single yard in a game where New York had under 100 yards of total offense.

But if the Jets aren’t going to pay Breece Hall, then they could look to deal him before the trade deadline. If that happens, Davis would step into a starting role with volume, at least until Braelon Allen returns from injury later in the year. Davis is purely a speculative add in deep formats and could pay off if Hall is shipped out of town.

Other Options: Zonovan Knight, Cardinals (9% rostered), Sean Tucker, Buccaneers (7% rostered)

Wide Receiver

Kayshon Boutte, Patriots (7% rostered) | $5-7

Just when we were all starting to trust Stefon Diggs as a must-start option, Kayshon Boutte put a lid on that — at least for one week. Boutte returned home to Louisiana and terrorized the Saints in the Superdome. He was a contested-catch monster, showing off strong hands and physicality at the catch point.

Boutte wrapped up his homecoming with five catches for 93 yards and two TDs, good for 26.3 PPR points. Ideally, you want more than five targets, but QB Drake Maye only threw 26 passes on the day. If you’ve been hit hard with injuries and need a WR3 or flex play, scoop up Boutte. He gets the Tennessee Titans and their middle-of-the-pack pass defense this week.

Sterling Shepard, Buccaneers (3% rostered) | $0-1

At this point, Sterling Shepard is basically the Will Smith in an empty living room gif. Chris Godwin has already been ruled out for Week 7. Emeka Egbuka is having an MRI on Tuesday to see how bad his hamstring injury is. Mike Evans could potentially be back, but the Bucs want to see how his hamstring responds in practice. With Tampa Bay’s WR room being so depleted, Shepard could be a sneaky flex play in what should be a shootout vs. the Lions.

Shepard’s hit double-digit PPR points twice this year and has a rapport with Baker Mayfield from their days in Oklahoma together. At 3% rostered, there shouldn’t be much competition for his services — unless you have some Bucs fans, like me, in your leagues.

Other Options: Jalen Coker, Panthers (13% rostered), Ryan Flournoy, Cowboys (11% rostered), Tez Johnson, Buccaneers (2% rostered), Jordan Whittington, Rams (1% rostered)

Tight End

Cade Otton, Buccaneers (11% rostered) | $2-3

Like I mentioned with Shepard above, the Bucs are down plenty of passing-catching weapons this week. A trendy sleeper pick in the offseason, Cade Otton did nothing the first month and was promptly dropped or ignored by most managers.

But down Bucky Irving, Godwin, Egbuka, and potentially Evans, Baker Mayfield needs playmakers, and he’s looked Otton’s way recently. He had a four-catch, 81-yard day against the Seahawks and followed that up with five grabs for 51 yards against the 49ers.

If you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel at TE, Otton’s worth a stab. Mayfield may continue leaning on him while his star WRs heal up.

Other Options: AJ Barner, Seahawks (20% rostered), Oronde Gadsden II, Chargers (2% rostered)
