These players are coming back from major injuries shrouded in uncertainty

by Neil Dutton, June 28, 2019

Every single player injured during the last season of NFL football is “ahead of schedule” in their recovery. Whether they could actually “play tomorrow if needed” or they (or their team) are merely indulging in some blue sky thinking, only they can say for certain.

With this in mind, we’ll take a closer look at three players who all saw their 2018 campaigns cut short. In one case that players absence nearly brought his team and quarterback grinding to a halt. We shall also look at their present ADPs. A terrific bargain could be in store.

RotoUnderworld 2019 Dynasty Mock Rookie Draft – Round 4

by Ray Marzarella, June 26, 2019

The RotoUnderworld Team is conducting its rookie mock draft. We will be splitting up each of the four rounds into four separate pieces outlining the advanced stats and metrics that justify each selection.

It seems weird on the surface to see the No. 6 pick in the NFL Draft fall to the fourth round of a rookie mock. But Daniel Jones is more likely to return value early on than anyone is willing to admit. The right play might be to stash and trade him once he has a breakout game.

3 wide receivers primed for massive breakouts in 2019

by Alex Johnson, June 25, 2019

My favorite part of preparing for a new fantasy football season is identifying the players who are flying under the radar in drafts but will burst onto the scene with a breakout season. You know what I’m talking about. The players my league mates are paying little attention to but I just know they’re going to have a big year. And when I get it right—oh baby, does it feel so good.

Kirk is the most obvious breakout wide receiver on the fantasy landscape. He projects to lead the Cardinals in targets as the No. 1 option in a passing game that, with a new coach and quarterback, is in line for more volume and improved efficiency. Kirk’s current ADP in the ninth round provides great value for fantasy gamers looking for high upside outside of the top-100 selections.

RotoUnderworld 2019 Dynasty Mock Rookie Draft – Round 3

by Ray Marzarella, June 24, 2019

The RotoUnderworld Team is conducting its rookie mock draft. We will be splitting up each of the four rounds into four separate pieces outlining the advanced stats and metrics that justify each selection.

Every running back picked in the third round of this mock likely needs an injury to a teammate or two to be fantasy-relevant in Year One. It’s a big part of the reason they’re all available here, which seems appropriate. Benny Snell, despite his elite college dominance, is no exception.

Why the Dolphin tank is perfect for fantasy football

by Taylor Smith, June 21, 2019

The Miami Dolphins are in “rebuild mode” and that makes them cheap to acquire in fantasy football. After landing volatile gunslinger Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dolphins skill players are primed to explode despite playing for a bad team.

Albert Wilson’s ability after the catch separates him as a premiere volume slot receiver heading into 2019. If Mike Gesicki lives up to his freakish athleticism, he could have a sophomore year akin to George Kittle. And Kenyan Drake should finally crest a 50 percent opportunity share and land among the elite backs by year’s end.

Don’t Draft Tarik Cohen This Year

by Marc Mathyk, June 17, 2019

Despite his small frame and overall lack of athleticism, Cohen had a very productive and efficient 2018 season. He had 71 receptions for 725 yards, including five touchdowns. However, if you zoom in and see his statistics and usage game by game, you will notice that his production tailed off near the end of the season.

David Montgomery is poised to be a bell cow. He was severely undervalued less than a month ago but now his value is rising and for good reason. He has the college production and size to be in the RB2 conversation with the potential to slide into the top-12.

Despite his satellite back build, Justice Hill could be the best all-around back on the Baltimore Ravens. As such, he makes for a great pick in both dynasty and redraft leagues.
