NFL Trade Deadline Rumors | Dynasty Buys
Rumor #1 | RB Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
It’s all eyes on Jonathan Taylor at the moment. According to reports, the Packers, Seahawks, Broncos, and Vikings are among the teams that have considered or are expected to consider acquiring the All-Pro running back.
If RB Jonathan Taylor is available in trade, and if a deal isn’t done before the weekend, the Colts could hold him out of action on Sunday. https://t.co/urwV8A1GHg

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon does not want to trade Taylor, but Indianapolis’ 2-5 start — and the firing of general manager Chris Ballard — has fueled speculation about a potential sell-off. On Tuesday, the Colts traded eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and followed that move by sending DeForest Buckner to San Francisco, signaling a willingness to move cornerstone veterans.
Potential dynasty beneficiaries: Seth McGowan, DJ Giddens
The obvious dynasty beneficiary of a Taylor departure would be Seth McGowan, currently second on the Colts’ running back depth chart, with DJ Giddens also positioned for additional work. McGowan is worth a speculative addition before the deadline, although Nelson’s departure weakens an offensive line that could undergo further changes. Any running back acquired in a Taylor deal would also complicate the projected workload.
Rumor #2 | RB Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia’s disappointing start has raised questions about whether general manager Howie Roseman could move veteran players ahead of the deadline. The Athletic’s Zach Berman suggested that trading Saquon Barkley could become a difficult decision for the Eagles, while ESPN’s Ben Solak has identified Houston, Seattle, Green Bay, and Minnesota as potential fits.
There is no confirmed indication that Philadelphia is actively shopping Barkley, but the Eagles’ struggles and his recent injury concerns make the backfield worth monitoring. Barkley’s departure would create an opportunity for Dameon Pierce and Elijah Mitchell, who recently returned to Philadelphia’s practice squad. Mitchell was elevated for Monday’s game against Dallas, while Pierce’s own injury situation could influence the distribution of touches.
Potential dynasty beneficiaries: Dameon Pierce, Elijah Mitchell
Neither Pierce nor Mitchell is guaranteed a featured role, but both are worth monitoring in deeper dynasty formats. Mitchell is particularly intriguing as a low-cost speculative addition if Philadelphia decides to reshape its backfield.
Rumor #3 | TE Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Goedert is another name worth watching if the Eagles decide to sell. The veteran tight end is playing on an expiring contract, and Zach Berman identified him as a potential trade candidate given Philadelphia’s disappointing start.
Potential beneficiaries: Eli Stowers
A Goedert departure would create an opportunity for rookie Eli Stowers, who was activated from injured reserve ahead of Monday’s matchup with Dallas. The 2025 John Mackey Award winner brings an elite athletic profile, boasting a 97th-percentile 4.51-second 40-yard dash, 95th-percentile Speed Score, and 100th-percentile Burst Score and Catch Radius, according to PlayerProfiler. Stowers has the physical tools to become a dangerous receiving weapon, although limitations as a blocker could keep him off the field in certain personnel packages.
He’s an intriguing dynasty target ahead of the deadline, and even if Goedert stays put, Stowers’ long-term outlook is promising heading into 2027.
Rumor #4 | WR Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on October 24 that multiple league executives believe Jacksonville will seriously consider trading Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of the deadline as his role in the offense continues to diminish. However, subsequent reporting from Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport indicated that Jacksonville had not engaged in active trade discussions.

Brian Thomas Jr.’s Advanced Metrics
Thomas’s declining involvement is difficult to ignore. The former Pro Bowler, who exploded for 1,282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie in 2024, has managed just nine receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown through six games this season.
His role reached a new low in Week 6, when he played just 15 first-half snaps before sitting out the entire second half, finishing with two targets and no receptions. Jacksonville has increasingly leaned on Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington, while rookie Josh Cameron has also earned additional opportunities.
Potential beneficiaries: Travis Hunter, Josh Cameron
A Thomas trade could create an intriguing dynasty opportunity for both Thomas himself and rookie Josh Cameron. A change of scenery could help Thomas recapture his rookie form, while Cameron could inherit his role as Jacksonville’s X receiver. The 6-foot-2, 218-pound Cameron ran 84% of his collegiate routes out wide at Baylor and is already gaining ground, playing 35 snaps to Thomas’s 15 in Week 6.
With Travis Hunter thriving defensively, Jacksonville has little incentive to expand his offensive workload, but he’d likely see a few more opportunities on that side of the ball with Thomas gone. Both Thomas and Cameron are intriguing dynasty buys ahead of the deadline, with a potential trade opening the door to increased opportunities for each.
Rumor #5 | RB Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans
ESPN’s Adam Schefter identified Tony Pollard as a player to monitor ahead of the deadline, citing the veteran running back’s contract situation and Tennessee’s rebuilding efforts. Pollard is in the final year of his deal, and the Titans could explore moving him if they don’t intend to bring him back next season.

Potential dynasty beneficiaries: Nick Singleton, Tyjae Spears
A Pollard trade could open the door for rookie Nick Singleton to earn a larger role in Tennessee’s backfield, although Tyjae Spears would likely absorb most of the immediate workload. The fifth-round pick out of Penn State boasts an 81st-percentile Speed Score, 85th-percentile college target share, and 55 career touchdowns. However, head coach Robert Saleh recently acknowledged that Singleton is still developing in pass protection, which has led Saleh to favor Michael Carter‘s three-down versatility over the rookie.
With both Pollard and Spears set to become free agents after this season, the Titans could use the second half to evaluate Singleton ahead of 2027. He’s an intriguing dynasty stash whose long-term upside outweighs his immediate fantasy outlook.
Additional Trade Candidates to Watch
These next four names are more speculative, but a potential trade could create intriguing dynasty opportunities for younger players already pushing for larger roles.
WR Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts
Potential beneficiaries: Anthony Gould, Ashton Dulin, Deion Burks
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Wednesday that Josh Downs has forming requested a trade. Dealing Downs would open up opportunities for Anthony Gould, Ashton Dulin, and rookie Deion Burks, with Gould offering the clearest path to immediate slot production and Burks presenting intriguing long-term dynasty upside. Downs in a better situation could make noise in the second half of the season.
WR Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans
Potential beneficiaries: Elic Ayomanor
A Calvin Ridley departure would free up targets in Tennessee’s crowded receiving corps, giving Ayomanor an opportunity to carve out a larger role. However, he’ll still face competition from Carnell Tate and Chimere Dike.
RB James Conner, Arizona Cardinals
Potential beneficiaries: Bam Knight, Jeremiyah Love
With James Conner‘s return from an ankle injury uncertain, a departure could help Bam Knight maintain his fantasy relevance while strengthening Love’s path to becoming Arizona’s long-term lead back.
WR Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns
Potential beneficiaries: KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston
Cleveland reportedly isn’t actively shopping Jerry Jeudy, and it would take a premium offer to change that. Still, a trade would further consolidate targets for its promising rookie receivers, who have both flashed.
