Forever haunted by the decision to use a first round pick on C.J. Spiller in his 2013 home league draft, he’s created a much stronger process in identifying potential breakouts and obsessing over never making such a tragic mistake again. Jonathan learned from this mistake. He helps other fantasy gamers avoid making similar mistakes. Of course, Jonathan dedicates a lot of energy into making the PlayerProfiler community what it is today.  Jonathan loves smoking meat, watching old monster movies, playing video games, and spending time with his wife and kids.

In fact, it was the only division where all four teams had a losing record. What tough decisions are facing these teams as they head into the offseason? Will there be major changes at quarterback for all four teams?

2022 Fantasy Football Free Agency Impact Guide (Updated 5/2/22)

by Jonathan Lange
It's officially March Madness, NFL Style! On March 14th, we saw a two-day window open where teams could contact players. And we instantly saw fireworks with monumental contracts firing off left and right. We wanted to take a closer look at the free agency acquisitions that affect fantasy football the most, and what they mean for your best ball, redraft, and dynasty teams in the future! So without further adieu, here is the 2022 Fantasy Football Free Agency Impact Guide. The Miami Dolphins broke the ice on the running back market, signing Chase Edmonds. Schematically, it has all the look of a smash selection. And even if they sign or draft another RB, his 13.8-percent (No. 8 among qualified running backs) Target Share proves he's among the premier pass catching backs in the NFL. Edmonds remains a great RB to target in fantasy drafts.

Super Bowl Preview: Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Los Angeles Rams

by Jonathan Lange
The game will come down to how the offensive line can handle the pressure against Aaron Donald and Von Miller. Burrow only managed a 47.1-percent (No. 14) Pressured Completion Percentage. And for the Bengals to win, he will need to make big throws under pressure. On the other side of the coin, he ranks No. 1 in Clean Pocket Completion Percentage. He is also No. 1 with 8.8 Yards per Pass Attempt, But it helps if you've got talented teammates. Now in Los Angeles, Matthew Stafford is surrounded by easily his best coaching staff and teammates. And it's reflected in the metrics. His Touchdown Rate ranks No. 2 among quarterbacks with ten or more starts. And his 63.5 (No. 4) Total QBR puts him ahead of Patrick Mahomes. He also gets the benefit of throwing to outstanding pass catchers.

AFC Championship Preview: Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs

by Jonathan Lange
Today, we'll look at the AFC championship matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals, a rematch from Week 17 where Cincinnati scored in the last moments of the game and won 34-31. A key result of that victory, the Bengals won their first division title since 2009. Once a young team with plenty of promise, the Bengals have given life to a franchise that had embodied mediocrity. Now they are four quarters away from the Super Bowl. I expect the Bengals to come out playing fast and pushing the tempo on offense; unfortunately for them, the offensive line may have trouble keeping the pace with its skill positions. Kansas City wins 35-27.

Divisional Matchup Preview: Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

by Jonathan Lange
The more I read and research between these two teams, it seems the more in common the are with one another. The gunslinger quarterback, the alpha wide receiver, the efficient tight end, and even the opportunistic defense the schemes many different ways to find advantages on the field. Both teams are peaking, playing strong, and lest we forget, last year the Chiefs beat the Bills 38-24 in the AFC championship. Do yourself a favor; sit back and enjoy two superior teams scheme against each other in a Divisional tilt that has the potential to be a classic showdown.

Wildcard Matchup Preview: San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys

by Jonathan Lange
It's Wildcard Weekend in the NFL, and this matchup has my nostalgia cranked up all the way with these two storied franchises.  It hasn't always been pretty for both of these teams since the mid-90's, but thankfully we have two talent rich squads with incredible athletes performing at the absolute highest level.

Week 18 Matchup Preview: San Francisco 49ers At Los Angeles Rams

by Jonathan Lange
No longer tethered to Jared Goff, we see the blossoming of a star receiver with Cooper Kupp. He's always been a weapon for the Rams, but with Matthew Stafford calling the shots, he's unleashed on the NFL and boy has it been a joy to watch. The Rams also have valuable weapons Van Jefferson and Odell Beckham, making a case for the most talented trio of wide receivers for any team. They will surely make plays, but Kupp is who Stafford looks to, and there's no reason why he should stop. The Jimmy Garoppolo injury opened the door for Trey Lance to start. After a slow start against Houston, he finished with 249 passing yards, 31 rushing yards, and two passing touchdowns. The rookie quarterback numbers from the 2021 NFL Draft have been a mixed bag, so it was refreshing to see him play competently. If Garoppolo can put in a limited or full practice on Friday, and with a playoff appearance on the line, the team may prefer the established veteran to start.

Week 17 Matchup Preview: Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans

by Jonathan Lange
Jaylen Waddle has become the focal point of this offense, and he's done this at a historic pace. The record for most receptions by a rookie is Anquan Boldin with 101 over 16 games. Waddle currently has 96 (No. 6 among qualified wide receivers) receptions, with two games left in the year. He is a strong WR2 and should be in all lineups for championship weekend. It's trending that we see more of Jeremy McNichols or even Dontrell Hilliard lined up as a receiver, or in on passing situations together to help fill the void that the team has. Nobody on Earth can replicate what Derrick Henry does on the field, but D'Onta Foreman has done an admirable job along with his teammates of creating a patchwork rushing attack, it's just incredibly difficult to trust them on championship Sunday.

Week 15 Matchup Preview: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

by Jonathan Lange
Although the Cowboys have recently struggled with the passing game, I would fire up all your Cowboys pass catchers, but temper expectations because this game is shaping up to be a lower scoring match up. With the low point total projected for the Giants offense, and the matchup problems they will face against the Dallas defense, this has all the makings of a game dominated by the Dallas running backs. So is there a DFS dart throw available for the Giants? Sterling Shepard makes a strong case! He has a 131.2 (90th-percentile among qualified wide receivers) Burst Score, which is comparable to former Cowboy Dez Bryant. New York may be in a setting where they need to pass the ball playing from behind, so if a desperation play at wide receiver is needed, there is enough evidence to use Shepard.

Week 14 Matchup Preview: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team

by Jonathan Lange
The rumors of Antonio Gibson's demise have been greatly exaggerated. In the first eight weeks of the season, Gibson had two games with over 95 total yards. In the last four games, he has had three games with 95 yards or more. Since coming out of the Week 9 bye with reports of a stress fracture in his shin, Washington has gone with a conservative offense and heavy, hearty doses of the running game. We all can expect a strong performance from Gibson while they continue to use this conservative attack. Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, and Amari Cooper are all must starts, and will very likely produce in one way or another in this game. While he's been out for most of the year, Gallup recently returned and produced at a consistent level each game he has been a part of. He leads all Cowboys receivers, and is No. 7 in the NFL in Contested Catch Conversion Rate. Lamb and Cooper are incredible talents, and Gallup is emerging now that he has healed up.

Back to Basics: Rashod Bateman is Primed for a Breakout

by Jonathan Lange
Rashod Bateman is a dormant volcano ready to erupt all over NFL secondaries. Promise hangs in the air for this young stud who's getting an increase in playing time, has made some minute contributions for the team so far, and has yet to eclipse 90 yards or even score his first touchdown. The time is now! Football fans can expect explosive plays and production coming soon from this talented rookie Raven. The snaps played and routes run reflect that Rashod Bateman has elevated himself above all receivers not named Marquise Brown. However, I would like to point out that Brown isn't a typical target hog, but a big play received, and Bateman actually out-targeted him in Week 6. He has cemented himself to be the key cog of this passing attack, and the touchdowns will come raining down soon.
