Week 2 gave us plenty of actionable information for fantasy football. Some players saw their roles grow. Others saw their roles shrink. Unfortunately, some players also got injured, which will have an impact on our fantasy lineups going forward.
The goal of this article is to cut through the noise to try to find some of the values in fantasy leagues who can serve as streaming options, especially if you have to navigate some of the new injuries that will impact Week 3.
Every week, this article will focus on players available in at least 50% of Yahoo leagues, as well as some deep sleepers rostered in less than 20% of leagues. Without further ado, here are the best Week 3 streaming options at every position.

Quarterback Streaming Options Week 3
Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers vs Arizona Cardinals (7% rostered)
We finally got to see what would have happened had Kyle Shanahan drafted Mac Jones instead of Trey Lance. And the results weren’t too bad.
Jones completed 66.7% of his passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns against the Saints in Week 2. The veteran quarterback completed passes to 10 different pass catchers in the win, finishing as the QB9 in fantasy (21.8 points).
Brock Purdy was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and could theoretically return on Sunday, so there is some risk in picking Jones as your starter. However, if he does get another opportunity, he will be facing off against a Cardinals secondary that is extremely banged up heading into the game.
Deep Sleeper: Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1% rostered)
Justin Fields has already been ruled out with a concussion, which leaves Tyrod Taylor starting for the Jets in Week 3. Taylor did not share the passing struggles of Fields (three of 11 passing for 27 yards) in his limited action against the Bills, completing seven of 11 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown while adding three carries for 21 yards.
Taylor is nowhere near as dynamic as he has been in years past, but he’s been a dependable player in his limited action in recent years and still offers some rushing upside. The Buccaneers are allowing the 10th most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season (19.5) and just lost one of their top pass rushers (Calijah Kancey) to a season-ending injury.
Honorable Mention: Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks vs New Orleans Saints (17% rostered)
It wasn’t a great game, but Week 2 was a step in the right direction for Sam Darnold. The veteran quarterback completed 66.7% of his passes for 295 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Darnold will have a chance to take another step in a great matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are allowing 20.0 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. More importantly, they have the fifth-lowest pressure rate (22.2%) to start the season.
Honorable Mention: Russell Wilson, New York Giants vs Kansas City Chiefs (14% rostered)
I’ll give a bonus quarterback, since there is a chance that Brock Purdy could return and bump Mac Jones out of the starting lineup.
Russell Wilson rebounded from a subpar Week 1 (11.1 fantasy points) by throwing for 450 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception (and 32.3 fantasy points) against the Cowboys in Week 2.
His Week 3 opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs, have plenty of struggles to start out the 2025 season. The Chiefs have given up the seventh-highest expected points added (10.6) to opposing quarterbacks this season. Quarterbacks also have the sixth-highest success rate against them this season (53.6%).
There is a risk relying on Wilson in fantasy, especially if Andrew Thomas is still unable to return against the Chiefs’ defensive front. However, Kansas City’s secondary has been very exploitable to start the season and could help propel Wilson to another good fantasy output.
Running Back Streaming Options Week 3
Trey Benson, Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (50% rostered)
The offseason narrative that Trey Benson would earn more work in Arizona’s backfield has proven to be true. Through two games, Benson has handled 11 carries for 83 yards and caught five of seven targets for 36 yards. The second-year running back is averaging 7.4 yards per touch.

Trey Benson Advanced Stats & Metrics Profile
Benson saw his snap share increase nearly 10% between Week 1 and Week 2, jumping to 43% in his second game. The second-year running back is making the most of his opportunities and earning more work because of it.
James Conner is still the unquestioned RB1 in Arizona and is getting the most volume. However, Benson is slowly siphoning work (especially in passing situations), giving him a respectable fantasy floor each week. He has scored at least 8.0 points in back-to-back weeks, making him a solid streaming option.
Deep Sleeper: Woody Marks, Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (7% rostered)
Woody Marks saw his snap share increase from 11.1% in Week 1 to 26.5% in Week 2. Marks handled three carries for 14 yards and caught his lone target for 37 yards against the Buccaneers in Week 2.

Woody Marks Advanced Stats & Metrics Profile
The 2025 fourth-round pick has seemingly cemented himself as the handcuff to Nick Chubb since veteran Dameon Pierce was a healthy inactive in Week 2. Marks was also a prolific receiving back during his college career at Mississippi State and USC (261 receptions for 1,546 yards and five touchdowns in five seasons), so there is even more room for him to grow in this offense.
At worst, Marks has entrenched himself as the handcuff behind an old running back coming off a devastating lower-body injury in 2023. At best, Marks will continue to siphon high-volume targets and have workhorse upside for the remainder of 2025.
Honorable Mention: Najee Harris, Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos (35% rostered)
Few players had a more tumultuous offseason than Najee Harris. Harris signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers this offseason only to watch the team draft North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The veteran then missed most of training camp due to an eye injury suffered in a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July.
There was initial speculation that Harris would miss the season due to the injury and his lack of participation in practice. However, he ultimately was ready to go for Week 1, logging an 18.5% snap share with one carry for five yards and one reception for five yards.
Harris took another step in the right direction in Week 2. His snap share increased to 34.5%, and he saw his workload increase significantly, logging eight carries for 28 yards and two receptions for 20 yards against the Raiders. Harris’ effectiveness, combined with Hampton’s struggles (3.2 yards per touch on 26 touches), has opened the door for the veteran to carve out a bigger role in the backfield.
Will Hampton eventually figure it out? Probably. But the Chargers’ ideal backfield involves a split between Hampton and Harris, and we are getting closer to a true 50/50 split.
Wide Receiver Streaming Options Week 3
Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns vs Green Bay Packers (38% rostered)
2025 has started the way many fantasy managers hoped, with Joe Flacco under center for the Cleveland Browns. Through two games, Cleveland is first in overall pass rate (69%) and eighth in pass rate over expected (0.4%).
As a result, Cleveland has five different players who have already been targeted 11 times. Wide receiver Cedric Tillman is second on the team in targets with 15, which he has turned into seven receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Tillman has had at least seven targets in six of his last seven games dating back to last season. The lone exception is the game in which he suffered a concussion.
The Browns will continue to pass at a high volume, which will give Tillman a chance to stay fantasy relevant on a bad offense. His size also makes him a threat in the red zone. He is currently one of seven receivers who have multiple red zone touchdowns in 2025.
Deep Sleeper: Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers at Cleveland Browns (2% rostered)
The biggest “winner” of the Jayden Reed injury might be veteran receiver Dontayvion Wicks. Once Reed went down with his collarbone injury, Wicks saw his snap share increase, especially in the slot. Wicks led the Packers in slot snaps (12, 57.1%) and finished second on the team in targets (six), receptions (four), and receiving yards (44).

Dontayvion Wicks Advanced Stats & Metrics Profile
Green Bay’s receiving group may also get a boost from the knee injury that Tucker Kraft suffered in practice on Thursday. The injury is not believed to be serious, but it could cause the tight end to miss Week 3, further consolidating targets between Wicks, Matthew Golden, and Romeo Doubs.
Wicks has shown the ability to earn targets the last two seasons and is primed to be on the field for a lot of snaps for the foreseeable future.
Honorable Mention: Christian Kirk, Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (33% rostered)
Houston’s passing offense has struggled to start the season thanks to a lack of established receiving weapons (outside of Nico Collins) and consistent pressure from opposing defensive lines.
The Texans traded for Christian Kirk in hopes that he could provide a quick option for C.J. Stroud in the passing game behind a porous offensive line. Unfortunately, a preseason hamstring injury kept Kirk off the field for the first two games of the year.
The veteran receiver is healthy again and set to make his debut in Week 3. Kirk had at least four targets in six of eight games played last season. Last year, Houston’s primary slot receiver to begin the season (Stefon Diggs) averaged 8.0 targets through the first eight weeks before being injured.
Expect Kirk to quickly establish himself as a quick-game complement to Collins in the short to intermediate parts of the field.
Tight End Streaming Options for Week 3
Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns vs. Green Bay Packers (43% rostered)
Harold Fannin Jr. continues to operate as a core piece of Cleveland’s offense. Fannin is second on the team in targets (14) and receiving yards (111) while leading the Browns in receptions (12). The rookie has been utilized out wide (six snaps), in the slot (32 snaps), as an inline tight end (11 snaps), as a wing (12 snaps), and in the backfield (two snaps).

Harold Fannin Jr. Advanced Stats & Metrics Profile
The Packers have allowed 13 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown to tight ends over their first two games.
Deep Sleeper: Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons (5% rostered)
Carolina worked to get Ja’Tavion Sanders more involved in the offense in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. Sanders finished second on the team in targets (nine) and receiving yards (54) in Week 2. He also led the team in receptions (seven) in a losing effort. Sanders has logged at least a 61% snap share and 67% route rate in each of Carolina’s first two games.

Ja’Tavion Sanders Advanced Stats & Metrics Profile
Tetairoa McMillan is the unquestioned alpha pass catcher in Carolina. However, Carolina needs to find a second player who can earn targets to help Bryce Young continue to develop. That is even more important with Jalen Coker set to miss another two weeks due to injury.
Sanders took an important step in that direction last week and can be streamed in Week 3 in a pinch.
