DeMarco Murray: Curiously Undervalued in Redraft

by Kevin McHugh, June 29, 2017

DeMarco Murray is a solid option at running back in fantasy football, yet is curiously undervalued in redraft this year. Murray is being drafted after Devonta Freeman, Jordan Howard, and Jay Ajayi in most redraft leagues.

Murray’s ADP is the fact that he could be seen by most as a “boring veteran,” as everyone seems to gravitate toward the shiny new toy when it comes to fantasy football. Devonta Freeman, Jordan Howard, and Jay Ajayi are younger, flashier, and don’t have the perceived negatives associated with Murray simply because they haven’t played long enough to run into much adversity.

Eric Decker to the Titans: Playing Sweet Music in Nashville

by Akash Bhatia, June 27, 2017

If healthy in 2016, Eric Decker would have been a top-15 wide receiver. Yet, Decker’s average draft position sits outside the top-40 wide receivers. Fantasy football enthusiasts should be arrested for stealing this fantasy season.

Fantasy analysts are worried Corey Davis and Rishard Matthews will cut into Eric Decker’s volume. However, there is very little reason to be concerned about those two siphoning a great deal of volume from Decker.

Stash George Kittle in Fantasy Football Dynasty Leagues (before it’s too late)

by Mike Medeiros, June 26, 2017

The 2017 rookie tight end class looks like the best crop of talent at the position since the 2010 class brought us Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham. While not getting the buzz of the top pedigree players at the position, George Kittle has the athletic profile and opportunity to crack the top of the 49ers depth chart.

George Kittle has elite advanced workout metrics and a two- way skill set to earn him immediate playing time as a rookie. Kittle should be a late round dynasty league rookie draft target or taxi squad stash.

Is C.J. Prosise the Running Back to own in Seattle?

by Peter Lawrence, June 25, 2017

CJ Prosise is the best-value back for fantasty football enthusiasts following Zero RB with a late round value and opportunity for a heavy workload in a dynamic offense with one of the best young QBs in the NFL. Don’t fall into the Eddie Lacy trap door.

Prosise profiles as a satellite back-plus running back in Seattle. His college background as a WR benefits him as he adjusts to the NFL. In his six games last season he had a 89.5-percent catch rate with 17 receptions on 19 targets.

Jeremy Maclin in Baltimore is Best Case Scenario for Fantasy Football

by Peter Howard, June 24, 2017

Jeremy Maclin signed with the Baltimore Ravens, a team that finished 1st in Team Pass Plays in 2016 and 3rd in 2015. With the loss of Dennis Pitta to injury and Steve Smith to retirement, there were already high hopes for the opportunity on their depth chart. Do these changes create as much potential for Maclin as they do disappointment for hype candidates on the rest of the depth chart?

Steve Smith’s 18.7 fantasy points per game in 2015 represents Jeremy Maclin’s ceiling this season. Maclin’s ceiling reaches even higher if more of those Dennis Pitta targets bleed out to the wide receivers. Ultimately this projects Maclin as a reliable, and high-value wide receiver two in every fantasy format.

Miami Dolphins Fantasy Outlook: A Team Poised to Ascend?

by Mike Medeiros, June 23, 2017

While the off season coach speak is at a fever pitch, the Dolphins boast an every down workhorse in Jay Ajayi, a high floor target hog in Jarvis Landry, and a potential breakout candidate in DeVante Parker.

While a foot injury muted his rookie season, he flashed enough big play ability to capture the excitement of dynasty-leaguers, and his ADP skyrocketed going into his sophomore season until hamstring injuries and questions about his work ethic started to linger during the off season and camp.

Behold, The 2017 RotoUnderworld Dynasty Superflex Start-up Mock Draft

by Eric McClung, June 22, 2017

Members of the RotoUnderworld crew were joined by the best and brightest from across the fantasy football industry for a dynasty superflex start-up draft.

I’m pumping my first in the air when I get Theo Riddick, which of course, is followed by an awkward look and an accompanying eye roll from the wife. “But honey, this is a running back that’s seen 6.5 targets per game over the last two years! He missed six games and still saw more red zone targets than Amari Cooper.” I don’t think she understands.

DeAndre Washington looks to be active out of the backfield as the satellite back for the Raiders, as they plan to manage Lynch throughout the season. He looks to be a Zero RB lottery ticket if Lynch went down with an injury.

Ameer Abdullah vs. Theo Riddick: Which Lions RB is the Better Fantasy Football Value?

by Andrew Persanyi, June 21, 2017

Detroit has had the lowest run rate in the NFL since 2014. Since then, the offense’s total rush attempts have decreased every year, and only the Jacksonville Jaguars had fewer red zone rush attempts than the Lions in 2016.

Theo Riddick showcased both exceptional receiving production and supreme efficiency in 2016. He followed that up with a fantasy RB1 season, proving he can deliver RB1 fantasy results with enhanced volume, generating 16.2 (No. 8) fantasy points per game.

Joe Mixon: The Next Evolution of the NFL Bell Cow Running Back

by Peter Lawrence, June 19, 2017

Joe Mixon is a divisive talent offering potential fantasy football league-winning production in 2017. He is going in to a situation on the Bengals where he should immediately garner high leverage carries and pass catching opportunities to post fantasy RB1 numbers.

Mixon was the most talented pure three-down back in the NFL Draft. He will be powering fantasy football teams as long as his behavioral issues do not jeopardize his career.
