The Philadelphia Eagles just added a high-octane Alpha to their arsenal by drafting Makai Lemon at No. 20, snagging a technical wizard whose elite body control and Biletnikoff-winning production make him an immediate nightmare for NFC East secondaries. Lemon is a verified metric darling with a massive 39.2% College Dominator Rating (81st-percentile) and a dominant 28.1% Target Share, proving he is a volume-commanding engine who can win at every level of the field despite a later 21.3 Breakout Age.

In dynasty formats, it is a tough landing spot for Lemon, who falls to a mid-to-late first round rookie pick, where he will fight to be WR2 behind DeVonta Smith in a low-pass volume offense helmed by Jalen Hurts.  This opens the WR3 conversation in this draft class.

Despite stalled talks, the Patriots remain the primary destination for A.J. Brown, with defacto GM Eliot Wolf now refusing to shut the door on a blockbuster move for Philadelphia’s alpha wideout. A post-June 1 trade appears the most likely window for a deal, providing Drake Maye with a legitimate WR1 and instantly solidifying Brown’s status as a high-volume anchor receiver for fantasy football.

This the most critical roster situation to monitor before NFL training camp begins. Brown joining the New England offense would created more dynasty value than it costs. Brown, Maye and DeVonta Smith would surge at the expense of Jalen Hurts and the newly signed Romeo Doubs.

Following a disappointing 2025 season where Philadelphia’s offense slumped to No. 17 in EPA per play, Lurie has mandated a “dramatic overhaul” led by head coach Nick Sirianni and new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Philadelphia is strangely going full code red on Jalen Hurts after he regressed to No. 26 in drop-back success rate while drawing internal criticism for being difficult to work with and publicly displaying poor body language.

Sources allege Hurts contributed to a “calcified” offense by resisting scheme diversifications—such as taking more snaps under center—and frequently diverting from established game plans. As Mannion implements these fundamental changes to revitalize the playbook, the Eagles must navigate potential personnel tension to avoid repeating the toxic locker room environment that defined their 2025 season.

Jalen Hurts was crowned Super Bowl MVP less than 14 months ago. Fantasy gamers would be wise to ignore any March/April “news” as Hurts will be under center for the Eagles in 2026 and 2027 (Philly has an out in 2028 for $7.775 million in dead cap). Draft Hurts aggressively in best ball and trade for him in dynasty, especially superflex and 2QB leagues.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be on the search for their fifth offensive coordinator in five years after the team fired Kevin Patullo. Head coach Nick Sirianni left the door open for Patullo to stay with the Eagles in a different capacity.

The Eagles are a team loaded with superstars who were supposed to be primed for a Super Bowl repeat. The offense fell flat and seemed out of sync all season. We saw Saquon Barkley less explosive than in his monster 2024 season, and A.J. Brown was disgruntled and a major bust for fantasy managers given his ADP. In 2024, the Eagles were top 10 in yards per game, rushing yards per game, and points scored, only to plummet well into the bottom half of the league under Patullo. A replacement has not yet been named, but the Eagles will look to  be rejuvenated in 2026.

The Raiders are a great antidote for struggling offenses. Eagles fans were clamoring for starting quarterback Jalen Hurts to be benched. Hurts responded by completing 12 of 15 passes for 175 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, along with 39 rushing yards on 7 carries. Tight end Dallas Goedert caught 2 of those touchdowns on his 6 catches and 70 receiving yards.

Fantasy owners of Hurts and Goedert may be upset that this offense has finally found their footing this late into the season. The good new is the demise of this offense was greatly exaggerated. The team will always be run first with Hurts at quarterback, but when the rushing offense is clicking, the passing game opens up. Hopefully next season the team will not take so long to figure out how to be a functional offense. Hurts is always a much start despite the limited passing game.

Despite the victory the Philadelphia Eagles still have things to work out on offense. Jalen Hurts had a rushing score in addition to 31 rushing yards but he failed to clear 200 passing yards for the third straight game.

A.J. Brown was Philadelphia’s leading receiver with seven receptions for 49 yards, Devonta Smith only had one catch for eight yards and Dallas Goedert just two catches for 24 yards. In addition the passing game struggles Saquon Barkley didn’t find much room on the ground, rushing for just 83 yards on 26 carries.

Outside of a few spike weeks the Eagles offensive playmakers have been underwhelming all year. Hurts is always a threat to score on the ground and there’s no denying the talent of Brown, Smith, Goedert and Barkley but until this offense figures things out they’re all at risk for dud games.
