George Pickens is reporting to minicamp prepared, and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer plans to unleash him from the slot to maximize his 90.8-percent Route Participation rate. After logging a mere 80 slot snaps compared to 595 out wide at X last season, Pickens will draw highly favorable matchups against linebackers and safeties inside.
This expanded usage and route tree positions Pickens to outperform his 17.2 Fantasy Points Per Game, confirming his status as an elite WR1 in 2026. At just 25.2 years of age, Pickens is a cornerstone WR for fantasy football seasonal, dynasty and best ball rosters.

While Schottenheimer downplays the situation, Prescott has a history of lower body maladies. Even with a minor setback, Dak Prescott remains anchored as a top-10 QB option after producing a 74.0-percent True Completion Percentage and a 54.9 QBR in 2025.
Prescott’s ceiling requires extreme pass volume, which is at-risk if Dallas’ upgraded defense forces fewer pass-heavy game scripts this season. Regardless of durability and volume concerns, Prescott is a terrific best ball pick and a screaming value in fantasy football dynasty league formats.
George Pickens is attending mandatory minicamp while playing on the franchise tag after a season where his 17.2 Fantasy Points Per Game ranked No. 5 among qualified wide receivers. Dallas refuses to negotiate a long-term deal before the July deadline, despite his 2025 campaign yielding 93 receptions, 1,429 receiving yards, and a 30.5-percent Air Yards Share.
Pickens said he will not hold out or hold in at training camp, sidestepping any mandatory fines, but his actual participation level should be monitored this week. Pickens is currently at his apex and will be hyper-motivated to dominate NFL defensive backs in 2026. Draft him with confidence in all fantasy football league formats.
Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer is praising second-year running back Jaydon Blue following a maturity shift after a rookie year containing a minimal 129 rushing yards (No. 76). The team requires dynamic elements to elevate an offense that ranked No. 27 in explosive play rate last season, opening a clear path for the sophomore back to contest rookie Phil Mafah and Malik Davis for touches.
If Blue continues to develop through training camp, expect him to claim the primary change-of-pace role behind lead option Javonte Williams. Blue should be drafted in the final rounds of best ball and stashed in all dynasty league formats.
Schottenheimer insists that Ryan Flournoy “has a chance to be a terrific receiver in this league.” The 2024 sixth-round pick has captured coaching staff praise in Dallas and projects to enter the regular season as the team’s locked-in WR3 after posting a 475 receiving yards last season, while raising his yards per route run average from 1.06 to 1.74.
ESPN’s Todd Archer has also reported that Ryan Flournoy “has worked in the slot more” throughout OTAs and has been the most pleasant surprise of the Dallas offseason program.
As the clear fourth option behind Lamb, Pickens and Ferguson, it will be difficult for him to achieve more than fantasy WR5 status, but he is a premier “handcuff WR” and will deliver spike weeks for best ball managers. If the camp buzz continues, he will warrant consideration in 12-team seasonal leagues later this summer.
The Dallas Cowboys handed the NY Jets their 5th straight loss with a convincing 35-22 win on Sunday.
No Ceedee Lamb, no problem. It’s a next man up mentality for the offense as the Dallas Cowboys got back into the win column after a tie in week 4 vs the Green Bay Packers.
Dak Prescott finished 18 of 29 for 237 yards and four touchdowns behind an offensive line decimated by injuries. Javonte Williams had another productive day, recording 135 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries while catching a four-yard touchdown pass. Second-year wide receiver Ryan Flournoy had the biggest day of his career, finishing with six receptions for 114 yards, and George Pickens had two receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. Jake Ferguson is flourishing this season. He finished the game with seven receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns. He has finished as a top-five tight end in four of the five weeks played, and with 41 receptions, he becomes only the fourth tight end to have more than 40 catches in a team’s first five games.
The Cowboys will play the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 and look to keep their high-powered offense rolling.
