by Ray Marzarella, May 29, 2019

The RotoUnderworld Team is conducting its rookie mock draft. We will be splitting up each of the four rounds into four separate pieces outlining the advanced stats and metrics that justify each selection.

Mecole Hardman was one of the biggest post-draft risers given his landing spot and similarities to the player he’ll presumably be replacing in Kansas City, Tyreek Hill.

3 Sleeper Running Backs for Fantasy Football Dynasty Leagues

by James Vitucci, May 28, 2019

Oakland’s drafting of Josh Jacobs in the 1st round was a damaging blow to whatever remained of the dynasty value of Jalen Richard. According to Rotoviz’s ADP Dynasty App, Richard has been the RB67 over the last 30 days. His advanced stats and metrics profile paint a much more optimistic picture.

Ito Smith operates in an efficient and high-scoring offense and is the direct backup to a physical runner that will demand a significant workload and that has already suffered three documented concussions and multiple leg injuries. Atlanta saves 3.5 million dollars if Devonta Freeman is cut before June 1 of next year and $6.3 million dollars the following year.

Post-Doug Baldwin: The Rise of Tyler Lockett and the Seahawks Passing Game

by Jeremy McKelvey, May 22, 2019

Tyler Lockett is an excellent slot-flanker with speed (most comparable to John Brown on PlayerProfiler.com) that is serviceable from the slot; he played in the slot on 34.7 percent of his snaps last year. He lead the league in yards per target (13.6) last year and had 7.8 touchdowns over expectation per PlayerProfiler.com.

Russell Wilson should remain a top fantasy option in 2019 even with the departure of Baldwin. Many people think that Wilson will suffer from an efficiency regression. This makes sense given his extraordinarily high efficiency numbers accompanied by low attempts in 2018. However, this also should marginally reverse as well, effectively canceling out the expected regression.

These 3 under-the-radar rookie running backs are poised to ascend

by Matt Dunleavy, May 17, 2019

Dexter Williams carried the ball 158 times in his senior year for 995 yards and 12 touchdowns to go along with 16 receptions and 133 yards.  He showed great vision running through blocks during his time at Notre Dame but was disappointing in the passing game.

A bell cow in waiting, Ryquell Armstead is a high value stash in the mid-to-late third round of dynasty rookie drafts.  Handcuffs should rarely be drafted in seasonal formats, however injuries happen in football, and one could make Armstead a league winner.

3 undrafted running backs with a path to serious opportunity

by Erik Westlund, May 16, 2019

To be selected at the very end of the NFL draft is more a disservice to prospects than it is a privilege. These three running backs were lucky enough to go undrafted and smart enough to pick excellent situations for each of their unique skill sets.

No undrafted free agent will be able to replace Alvin Kamara, but Devine Ozigbo has the skill set to earn those touches if Kamara were unavailable. Ozigbo showed he has the skill set to excell in the passing game and make splash plays at Nebraska.

Tight End Buying Signals and the Mike Gesicki Red Flag

by Drew Osinchuk, May 15, 2019

The lesson to be learned here is that you cannot buy-low on Tight Ends. They good ones are cheapest on draft day, and betting on the ones that have a discount is a losing bet more often than not.

This is the time of year when everyone clamours to draft capital and rookie year rankings as a means to defend a prospects rookie year struggles. The fact of the matter is, it is extremely rare for a Tight End or any other position to recover from a poor rookie year.

Why Marlon Mack will be a top-10 running back in fantasy football

by Jesse De Luca, May 13, 2019

Marlon Mack is ready to take the leap into the upper-echelon of fantasy football running backs in 2019. The Colts have invested in Mack as their lead runner and so should fantasy football owners. 2019 will be a big year for the Colts’ record setting running back.

Colts GM Chris Ballard vouched for Mack in April: “We think he can play on all three downs. We think he can carry the load.” Coming into the league with impressive college receiving production, Mack has only logged 328 receiving yards through two years.
