Background

LaNorris Sellers is a physically gifted quarterback from South Carolina, possessing the type of size and athleticism that is tough to ignore. A native of Florence, South Carolina, Sellers stands at a sturdy 6-3 and 242 pounds, giving him a prototypical NFL frame with the mobility of a modern dual-threat QB. He has a strong arm and can be deadly whenever he uses his legs. Sellers has quickly become one of the more intriguing talents in the SEC. Scouts, general managers, and the draft world as a whole will be watching a lot of South Carolina football games to keep a close eye on LaNorris Sellers.

2024 Showing

In 2024, Sellers threw for 2,520 yards and rushed for an additional 674, while racking up 25 total touchdowns. He posted an adjusted completion percentage of 74.6 percent, a strong indicator of his accuracy when kept clean. On the ground, Sellers was a nightmare to contain, forcing 47 missed tackles and breaking loose for 26 explosive runs.

His ability to create outside of structure and extend plays made South Carolina’s offense far more dangerous. While the tools are undeniable, he remains a raw prospect, particularly in terms of decision-making and consistency from the pocket. Still, his upside is sky-high, and NFL scouts are already intrigued by his rare physical profile.

2025 Potential

Heading into 2025, Sellers has a huge opportunity to become a household name in the NFL draft universe. If he can develop as a more refined passer and prove he’s more than just another athletic quarterback, which would inevitably draw comparisons to Anthony Richardson, he could rocket up draft boards.

Performing at a high level in the SEC would go a long way toward establishing himself as a legitimate first-round talent. Teams will want to see improvement in his timing, pocket presence, and passer decision-making.

If he shows growth in those areas while maintaining his big-time playmaking ability, Sellers could emerge as one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft class. The tools are there—it’s just a matter of putting it all together.
