NFL DFS Week 13 | Despite QB Woes Rhamondre Still Brings Value

DFS Week 13

Welcome back, friends! I hope you had a relaxing holiday and now you’re ready to get back at it! This week, we’re talking about Week 13 DFS picks for Sunday’s main slate. Whether you play Cash Games or GPP tournaments, you’ll find advice based on data to help give you an edge over the competition.  I’ll even drop a few of my favorite prop plays! Are you ready? Let’s get into it.

DFS Week 13 QB Picks

CJ Stroud ($8.1K DraftKings / $8.0K FanDuel)

CJ Stroud is the first rookie in NFL history with 300 or more passing yards in four straight games. This week brings another great matchup with an opportunity for Stroud to make this his fifth game in a row with more than 300 passing yards. I like this as a prop bet, too! He’s projected for 19 fantasy points on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Brock Purdy ($6.1K DraftKings / $7.8K FanDuel)

If you don’t want to pay up quite so much for a QB this week, consider Brock Purdy. He comes with a manageable salary, and is projected for 17.7 fantasy points on both platforms.

Additionally, Purdy has had a 70-percent or better completion rating in five straight starts and has thrown a touchdown pass in 15 of his 16 starts. This is a great matchup for Purdy. The Philadelphia defense is mediocre at best, with one of the worst passing defenses in the league.

DFS Week 13 RB Picks

Derrick Henry ($6.8K DraftKings / $8.3K FanDuel)

Derrick Henry has run for 539 scrimmage yards (107.8 per game) and five rushing touchdowns in five home games this season so far. Draftkings projects him for 13.3 FPPG and FanDuel for 12.3 FPPG this week against the Colts.

Indianapolis’ rushing defense ranks No. 26 in the league, allowing an average of 24 points each week. I really like this matchup, and I’m sure other DFS managers do, too. Accordingly, look for Henry to be rostered much higher on DraftKings than FanDuel, if that’s part of your strategy.

Rhamondre Stevenson ($6.0K DraftKings / $7.3K FanDuel)

Facing the worst overall defense in the league, Rhamondre Stevenson is looking really good this week against the Chargers. I like how manageable his salary is and I like that he’ll be fairly low in rostership, due to the flimsy quarterback situation in New England.

Stevenson has had three games in a row with 100 or more scrimmage yards and has had a rushing touchdown in 2 of his last 3 games. DraftKings projects him for 14.2 FPPG and FanDuel for 12.4.

Jaylen Warren ($5.4K DraftKings / $6.5K FanDuel)

Jaylen Warren has recorded 110 or more scrimmage yards in three of his past four games and a rushing touchdown in two of the past three games. He’s up against a pretty flimsy yet unpredictable Cardinals defense.

Consequently, look for Warren to continue the trend and go ahead and bet the over. You could just as easily plug in Najee Harris and save a couple hundred on your cap if you’d rather. The Steelers have deployed the two backs as a committee; however, I prefer Warren as he’s seen a bit more regularity in the number of touches he receives.

DFS Week 13 WR Picks

Brandon Aiyuk ($7.2K DraftKings / $8.0K FanDuel)

Brandon Aiyuk has been on a hot streak for fantasy gamers. This could be his fourth game in a row with a receiving touchdown. I love that as a prop bet – anytime touchdown scorer. DraftKings projects Aiyuk for 14 fantasy points and FanDuel for 12. Look for him to bring 50 yards or more this week.

AJ Brown ($8.8K DraftKings / $8.4K FanDuel)

Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown was limited in practice at the time of publication, but is likely to play. This is one of those weird situations where DraftKings’ salary is higher than that of FanDuel.

Undoubtedly, Brown’s rostership will be low if that’s part of your strategy. He’s projected for 17 and 14 FPPG on each respective platform. This could be his fifth game in a row with a touchdown catch.

Terry McLaurin ($5.5K DraftKings / $6.7K FanDuel)

Yes, I know this will be a tougher matchup, but Terry McLaurin still has to eat. He’s looking at his twelfth game in a row with four or more receptions. That’s quite a streak, and it would make a great prop bet! McLaurin is projected for 12.9 fantasy points on DraftKings and 10.4 on FanDuel.

DFS Week 13 TE Picks

Juwan Johnson ($3.4K DraftKings / $4.9K FanDuel)

I like tight ends on a budget this week. Juwan Johnson is one of those. He’s going to be a top tight end option against Detroit, especially if Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (thigh) don’t play. Johnson is projected for 8 fantasy points on DraftKings and 6.5 on FanDuel.

Hunter Henry ($3.1K DraftKings / $5.1K FanDuel)

Hunter Henry is another value pick this week. He’s projected for around 6 points on both platforms against this weak Chargers defense. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with plenty of upside, this is probably my favorite one.

DEF/DST Picks

Los Angeles Rams ($3.7K DraftKings / $3.7K FanDuel)

My favorite defense for Week 13 is the Los Angeles Rams. Weirdly enough, they’re priced at $3.7K on both platforms, and they’re projected to bring in far more fantasy points than other teams in that tier (7.9 FPPG). As far as ranking, they’re the definition of mediocre, ranking right in the middle of the league across the board for scoring, rushing, passing, and red zone defense.
