Luther Burden‘s ADP just won’t stop rising and HC Ben Johnson talking up his “electric” offseason will only make Burden less attainable. While a blistering 8-catch, 138-yard performance in the Week 17 fantasy championships proved what he can do, he remains locked in a target squeeze with established weapons like Colston Loveland and Rome Odunze.
Burden is the ultimate baked-in breakout. He wowed as a sophomore at Missouri, he wowed down the stretch in Chicago, and D.J. Moore is now in Buffalo. His breakout is so inevitable that every fantasy gamer is eager to pound, pushing Burden to fantasy football unaffordability in both best ball and dynasty.
The Chicago Bears fell short this time. The team had come back from seven fourth-quarter deficits this season, and it looked as if they were enroute to their eighth before an interception in overtime all but sealed the win for the Rams.
Down 17-10 in the final minute, facing fourth and four, Williams scrambled and found Cole Kmet for the tying touchdown with 18 seconds left, a throw that will go down as one of the plays of the year. Williams finished the game 23 of 42 for 257 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The last interceptions proved costly, as the Rams marched into field-goal range and punched their tickets to the NFC Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks.
It was a successful season overall for the Bears. Caleb Williams, Luther Burden, and Colston Loveland have all taken major steps in their development. First-time head coach Ben Johnson came to Chicago and built a culture that made this team consistent and helped them keep their composure as the Bears made the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

The Chicago Bears are moving on to the Divisional Round as they pulled an epic comeback vs. the rival Green Bay Packers 31-27. The win showed plenty of what Bears fans and fantasy managers have to look forward to in the coming years.
A large part of the comeback involved rookie tight end Colston Loveland. Loveland recorded 8 receptions for 137 yards. He made things easier for his quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams threw for 361 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. With the Bears continued playoff run, both Loveland and Williams’ stock is soaring.

The 10-4 Bears lead the NFC North and are currently 2nd overall in the NFC behind the Rams. Second year wideout Rome Odunze has shown flashes of breaking out, but has been limited by injury.
Odunze was a late scratch just a few minutes ahead of kickoff with a stubborn foot injury. Since his WR8 performance in Week 10 against the Giants, Odunze hasn’t crested above 8.3 fantasy points. Head Coach Ben Johnson says that all options are on the table. With the fantasy football playoffs in the next 2 weeks, expect to go without Odunze. Dynasty gamers should be formulating their thesis on Odunze’s 2026 outlook.

Rome Odunze has struggled the last few weeks. He he’s had 8.3 or less fantasy points in 4 out of the last 5 games. Now it has come out that he will miss with a stress fracture in his foot.
The timetable is said to be week-to-week which doesn’t bode well for the upcoming fantasy football playoffs. Caleb Williams will have to utilize his other weapons as the Bears try to maintain both the top seed in the NFC and the NFC North division. Rookies Luther Burden and Colston Loveland get a huge boost and are worth firing up against the Packers.
