Green Bay gets another offensive weapon alongside Matthew Golden their first round pick.
Savion Williams is a handy addition that offers a lot of versatility to an offence. The question will that translate to fantasy viability in a crowded depth chart in Green Bay? At this stage Williams should be treated as late round rookie draft pick and a taxi squad stash.
Savion Williams looks set to contribute on speacial teams straight away, with potentially a contributor role behind Josh Jacobs at RB and some work as a receiver too.

Savion Williams is a big, explosive runner, with some downfield ability and a lot to offer in the return game. He’s been highly touted throughout the draft process. Some experts have had him going as high as day 2.
Savion Williams has had an interesting pre-draft process. He did not attend the Senior Bowl recovering from a shoulder injury. He asked to test at the combine as both a WR and an RB. He ran the 40 in 4.48 putting him in the 95th percentile for speed score.
With such a unique skillset the question is how high will this Cordarrelle Patterson clone go this week?
He’s definitely had interest with several notable team visits including:
Dallas
New Orleans
Seattle
Pittsburgh

Standout TCU WR Savion Williams will showcase his abilities in Mobile at the Senior Bowl.
TCU wideout Savion Williams is a big dude. At 6’5″ he will rank among the tallest WRs at the Senior Bowl. He also runs a sub 4.5 40, and he hopes to parlay his size and skill set into a Day 2 draft slot in April. As a 5th year Senior and with a career high of just 611 receiving yards, he doesn’t project well on paper, but the tape grinders are smitten with he potential red-zone target.
Williams was a 4-star recruit out of high school, and some believe he is so unique that the TCU offense just didn’t know what to do with him. Williams is hoping to land with an NFL OC that will. Bruce Feldman, who publishes his “Freaks List” of college players every year explained, “Williams, though, jumps well too, having hit 10-6 on the broad jump and posted a 40-inch vertical.” In other words, the kid can jump out of the building. Drawing comps to Nico Collins and Alec Pierce, Williams should fit with whichever team pulls the trigger.
