Standout TCU WR Savion Williams will showcase his abilities in Mobile at the Senior Bowl.
TCU wideout Savion Williams is a big dude. At 6’5″ he will rank among the tallest WRs at the Senior Bowl. He also runs a sub 4.5 40, and he hopes to parlay his size and skill set into a Day 2 draft slot in April. As a 5th year Senior and with a career high of just 611 receiving yards, he doesn’t project well on paper, but the tape grinders are smitten with he potential red-zone target.
Williams was a 4-star recruit out of high school, and some believe he is so unique that the TCU offense just didn’t know what to do with him. Williams is hoping to land with an NFL OC that will. Bruce Feldman, who publishes his “Freaks List” of college players every year explained, “Williams, though, jumps well too, having hit 10-6 on the broad jump and posted a 40-inch vertical.” In other words, the kid can jump out of the building. Drawing comps to Nico Collins and Alec Pierce, Williams should fit with whichever team pulls the trigger.
