The NFL has officially closed its investigation into Rashee Rice, eliminating the suspension risk and solidifying his status as the undisputed alpha in the Kansas City passing game. With the legal cloud now disappated, his ADP will auto-correct as fantasy managers will be drafting the high-volume WR1 at-will.
This revelation paired with the news that Mahomes is wayyyy ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn ACL should re-inflate Rice’s dynasty stock bubble providing a comfortable sell-high window this spring.

On Jan. 7, the ex-girlfriend of the Chiefs’ Rashee Rice (and mother of the former couple’s two children) took to social media with a bloody lip and multiple scratches and bruises. Dacota Nichole took aim at the NFL star for what she said was a several-year pattern of both physical and mental abuse, destruction of her home and property, and on-and-off bouts of infidelity.
Rice maintains his innocence, and charges have yet to be filed by Nichole, but all indications are that they will be soon. If so, that also casts a shadow over his previous conviction of a dual-felony traffic incident in which people were hurt, significant damage was caused, and Rice fled the scene. New charges would mean a violation of his probation in that case, and could push his 30-day jail sentence from “anytime within the next five years” to “now” thanks to the violation.
For the NFL’s part, it’s expected that they will wait to see if a court case follows. However, the NFL’s “zero-tolerance” policy has influenced its decisions on second offenses in the past, even without the player being prosecuted (Von Miller, 2014).
Rice, the NFL, and the Chiefs are all currently in a holding pattern to see if charges will be filed. The Chiefs, in particular, will need to take a long look at their troubled superstar sooner than later. Some determination must be made as to whether he is no longer simply a distraction, but rather an actual liability that they cannot afford to count on.

The Chiefs will be without their star receiver Rashee Rice. The Chiefs are crashing down to earth as they have lost Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL. Rice sustained a concussion and will miss a juicy matchup against the Titans.
With Gardner Minshew at quarterback, expect Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce to be the main beneficiaries of Rice’s absence. While this is a good matchup, there is some risk given that Minshew just isn’t Mahomes. With that said, start Worthy and Kelce with confidence.

Rashee Rice missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday for the Kansas City Chiefs leading up to their week 16 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is done for the season and now they might be without their top wide receiver.
Kansas City is already looking towards the 2026 season after being eliminated from the playoffs last week so they might start prioritizing players health down the stretch.
Gardner Minshew will start the final three games for the Chiefs which lowers the floor and ceiling of all Chiefs players, combine that with having nothing to play for and fantasy managers should avoid Chiefs players where they can.

What a game to watch as fans and fantasy managers alike enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner. The Chiefs were shut out in the middle quarters and put up 14 in the fourth, but lost to the Dallas Cowboys, who are now on a three-game win streak.
Rashee Rice caught two of Mahomes’ four touchdown passes on the day, finishing with eight receptions and 92 yards and those two scores. Rice now has six touchdowns since returning from his suspension, and he remains the top option for the Chiefs as they head down the stretch in a dog fight to secure a playoff wild card spot. Mahomes completed 23 of 34 passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns on the day, this is the first time since Week 8 that Mahomes threw for more than one touchdown. The Chiefs will look to keep the offense humming as they take on the Texans in Week 14.

The Kansas City Chiefs came back to defeat the Indianapolis Colts in overtime and wide receiver Rashee Rice played a big role in that. Rice caught eight passes for a season high 141 yards.
At times this season the Chiefs offense hasn’t played up to its lofty standard but Rice has delivered when called upon this year. He has six or more receptions in four of five games and has cleared 60+ yards three times.
The Chiefs up and down offense is the only thing slowing down Rice, if Kansas City can start playing to its potential Rice is a locked in wide receiver one for the rest of the season.
