Evan Lazar from Patriots.com reports that RB Lan Larison “appears to be an early leader” for the RB3 role.

Lan Larison is #GoodAtFootball based on an impressive 36.8% College Dominator Rating, and in spite of being an undrafted free agent, he should stick on the roster based on his special teams prowess. Meanwhile, rookies Jam Miller and Myles Montgomery theoretically offer superior lateral quickness in New England’s outside zone scheme.

 

Miller was drafted in Round 7 out of Alabama. His pedigree and 30.0 BMI gives him the physical foundation to supplant Larison eventually, but a stint on the practice squad may be in the cards for Miller, as Larison offers more tangible team versatility from the RB3 role. Keep Miller stash in dynasty and consider also stashing Larison in the absolute deepest fantasy football dynasty leagues.

Chad Graf from the The Athletic projects the Patriots to see fewer stacked boxes in 2026, which will heavily benefit TreVeyon Henderson.

The addition of A.J. Brown forces defenses to respect the perimeter, relieving a New England offense that faced a 52-percent stacked box rate last season. This shifting defensive alignment creates immediate running room for Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson after the Patriots ranked 18th in yards before contact per attempt.

 

Henderson would be the primary beneficiary of more light boxes, though he will continue to lose valuable snaps to Stevenson if his pass protection execution remains a liability. He was an elite producer and quality pass blocker in college and has the draft capital and athletic profile to be an elite fantasy producer. Fantasy football dynasty leaguers and best ball bros are targeting Henderson aggressively before he starts exploiting wider running lanes this season.

The New England Patriots select RB Jam Miller with the 29th pick in the seventh round (#245) overall.

The New England Patriots added Jam Miller at No. 245, a 209-pound specimen who pairs a 4.42-second 40-yard dash (87th-percentile) with a 21.9 BMI.  He had a career 4.6 College Yards Per Carry at Alabama, good for the 8th-best efficiency in the class and reliable enough hands to command a 11.5% Target Share when called upon.

 

In dynasty formats, Jam Miller should be considered a late round pick with a murky road behind Rhamondre Stevenson and last year’s rookie TreVeyon Henderson.

Nine college running backs have committed to the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl on January 31st to showcase their talents.

While Jeremiyah Love is the consensus number one running back entering the 2026 NFL draft, nine others will take part in the Panini Senior Bowl to showcase their talents to NFL teams in hopes of boosting their draft stock when the NFL draft gets started on April 23rd.

 

 

Rahsul Faison (South Carolina), Jam Miller (Alabama), J’Mari Taylor (Virginia), Mike Washington Jr. (Arkansas), Kaytron Allen (Penn State), Seth McGowan (Kentucky), Le’Veon Moss (Texas A&M), Nick Singleton (Penn State), and Adam Randall (Clemson) will all be in Mobile at the end of the month to show they have what NFL teams desire in a pro running back.
