Elijah Arroyo to miss Workouts at NFL Combine
1 month ago

Miami TE Elijah Arroyo suffered a knee injury at the senior bowl and as a result he will not be participating in workouts at the combine. He is reportedly going to be ready for the Miami Pro Day.

Elijah Arroyo shot up draft boards a few weeks ago with his stellar performance at the Senior Bowl, out playing TE Harold Fannin Jr. and showcasing movement and burst rare for an athlete his size. The NFL draft and dynasty community will be eagerly anticipating his 40-time and , but not until the Miami pro day on March 24th.

Arroyo can line up out wide, and also is more than capable as a blocker in line.  He uses his burst off the line and puts on moves to get around defenders and make plays down field. This is what he’s been doing all year at Miami — Arroyo finished the season with an eye-popping 16.9 YPR, higher than Fannin’s career best at 14.2. It’s also higher than Brock Bowers (15.8), Trey McBride (15.0), and even Travis Kelce’s (16.0) collegiate high water mark. Keep your eyes peeled for this Tight End to be drafted to a premium NFL landing spot in the second round, which for me would be the final signal needed to anoint him as the newest young top 12 dynasty TE.

Senior Bowl: Xavier Restrepo Impresses Scouts
2 months ago

While other receivers of this rookie class garnered plenty of attention, Xavier Restrepo quietly validated his draft stock.

Heading into the Senior Bowl, Miami wide receiver Xavier Restrepo aimed to show scouts and media at large that he could step up in the short, intermediate, and deep passing game. While Restrepo attempted to boost his NFL stock, fellow wide receiver classmates such as Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel from Iowa State, and TCU’s Jack Bech staked claim for attention with their dazzling play in both practice drills and in the Senior Bowl game itself.

Restrepo’s college quarterback, Cam Ward is expected to be selected within the first few picks of the 2025 NFL Draft. He had hoped to show scouts and media that part of Ward’s success was due in part to utilizing a weapon such as Restrepo himself. The teammate who got the most buzz on that end was Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo. Elijah Arroyo did enough during Senior Bowl week to garner calls for being a top-3 tight end in the class, whereas Xavier Restrepo quietly gave scouts plenty to chew on in favor of drafting him. Xavier Restrepo is currently listed on the Pro Football Focus Big Board 2025 at 49 putting him on track for 2nd round draft capital.

Tight End Mason Taylor Comes Out a Winner at the Senior Bowl
2 months ago

After an impressive week at the Senior Bowl, NFL teams will be moving up tight end Mason Taylor on their draft boards.

The tight end class showed out very well in Mobile at the Senior Bowl. Miami’s Elijah Arroyo boosted his draft stock greatly and put himself on the map in a big way, however Mason Taylor had plenty of echoed praise in his direction as well.

Mason Taylor is able to move around the formation and offers versatility that will help him get on the field at the next level. Oftentimes, the fantasy community falls in love with the skill-set of a Kyle Pitts type and forgets about the blocking element that NFL teams highly value.

Mason Taylor showed his strong hands and ability to high point the football in 1 on 1 drills. Lauded for his strong hands, he was tied for 8th amongst tight ends in the nation with 8 contested catches (PFF). This was on display in front of scouts and media. Just a week ago, Mason Taylor was ranked 117th on the Pro Football Focus Big Board 2025. Taylor is now ranked 87th, drawing just behind Elijah Arroyo and just ahead of Harold Fannin Jr. in the 3rd round.

Former Miami Hurricane TE Arroyo flashes elite skill on Day 1 of Senior Bowl practice

Tight end Elijah Arroyo came into the week as the 2nd most notable tight end at the Senior Bowl, behind record setting tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

Arroyo announced his presence during practice drills, dominating in 1 on 1s as a  pass catcher.  Among the skills on display: explosive and precise route running, separating at the top of routes, and plucking passes out of the air routinely.

Arroyo will look to stack days with another strong performance day 2 with the hopes of continually improving his draft stock. The former 4 star recruit and 2024 2nd team All-ACC TE profiles as a traditional in-line or “Y” TE, but his performance today was eye opening and points to a much higher ceiling.

Get to know former University of Miami Hurricane tight end Elijah Arroyo.

Senior Bowl Profile: Elijah Arroyo

Elijah Arroyo (6’4 245) arrives at the Senior Bowl as a dynamic and versatile tight end who has showcased explosive playmaking in limited usage.

Arroyo Started all 13 games during his standout 2024 season, earning second-team All-ACC honors in 2024 while contributing 35 receptions for 590 yards and 7 touchdowns.  His ability to make plays when called upon in the nation’s most explosive offense has solidified his reputation as an excellent athlete who happens to be a TE.

A former four-star recruit in 2021 (#4 TE nationally) Arroyo brings positional versatility to the table, capable of lining up inline, in the slot, or split out wide.  He excels after the catch, using his size and contact balance to turn short throws into big gains.

At the Senior Bowl, Arroyo will look to showcase his athleticism, versatility, and ability to contribute in both the passing game and as a blocker. With his pedigree and skill set, he has the tools to impress scouts and bolster his draft stock.
