With several key players on Monday Night Football, there is good news and bad news on Davante Adams and Drake London.
Monday Night Football features the Rams at the Falcons, and fantasy managers are wringing their hands over whether to start Davante Adams and Drake London. Depending on which side of the fence you’re on, there is good news and bad news.
The good news for London managers is that Atlanta’s star wideout, listed as questionable all week, expects to play on MNF per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi. London had said earlier this week that although the team is eliminated, he wants to play all the football he can rather than wait until next season.
The news for Adams is not as good. He is currently listed as doubtful, generally a precursor to being ruled out by gametime. This will mark his second-straight game, with hopes to return Week 18, though that is of little consolation to fantasy managers with a championship on the line this week.
Fantasy lowdown: London is said not to be limited in the game, barring any exacerbation of his knee injury. The only ripple effect could be the need to temper expectations of tight end Kyle Pitts, although he remains one of Kirk Cousins’ preferred targets.
The Rams seem to have stumbled onto the “Davante of the future” in rookie wide receiver Konata Mumpfield. Mumpfield has earned the trust of coaches who have lauded his physical attributes and work ethic. Fantasy Managers on the hunt for a start-worthy piece in a high-scoring affair could do much worse than Mumpfield, as Puke Nacua will have his hands full with Falcons DB A.J. Terrell.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said on Monday that ...
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams lost for the ...
After missing the final three games of the regular season ...
On a short week against their division rival Seahawks, Davante Adams is trending as doubtful for the game.
The Rams are first in both the NFC and in the NFC West at 11-3. In a pivotal match that will break a tie with the 11-3 Seahawks, the Rams expect to be without wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams has been a menace in the red zone as he leads the league in red zone targets with 32 and in total touchdowns at 14. Adams is dealing with both a knee and hamstring injury. In a short week, he is listed as doubtful. Expect standout receiver Puka Nacua to get increased usage while the Rams utilize the running back duo of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

Wide receiver Puka Nacua is planned to return to the lineup for the Los Angeles Rams following their week eight bye.
Puka Nacua missed week seven with an ankle injury but is expected to be back on the field for the Los Angeles Rams as they come out of their bye. Nacua has fifty-four receptions for 616 yards and two touchdowns on the year.
When Nacua was out in week seven Davante Adams paced the Rams passing attack with five catches for thirty-five yards and three touchdowns. Nacua’s return is significant on its own but the Rams also placed wide receiver Tutu Atwell on injured reserve as well.
As long as there are no lingering effects from the ankle injury Nacua will return to his status as an elite wide receiver. Matthew Stafford remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league and should continue to keep Nacua and Adams as focal points in a potent passing attack.

The Rams are losing speedster Tutu Atwell as is heading to the IR.
The Rams are losing some speed with Tutu Atwell heading to the IR due to a hamstring injury. While the focus of the Rams offense runs through Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams, it will be a blow from the fact that Atwell is able to stretch defenses.
Atwell’s best game came in Week 4 where he had 15.8 fantasy points and was the WR19 on the week. While this isn’t a huge hit for fantasy purposes, it will affect elements of real football in which Sean McVay and the Rams are trying to break away at the top of the NFC West. The Rams are currently tied with the Seahawks with a 5-2 record.

Cooper Kupp is coming back home to play for the Seattle Seahawks.
Cooper Kupp is moving on from the Los Angeles Rams to play for the Seattle Seahawks. The free agent wideout has signed a deal with the Seahawks for 3 years and $45 million.
Much will be made about what impact this has on Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Njigba was the WR-9 in 2024. He logged 100 receptions, 1,130 receiving yards, and was No.12 in targets with 137. Cooper Kupp is at the stage where he is going to need to be moved around the formation with favorability towards the slot role. This poses a problem for JSN as he was No.1 in slot snaps last season with 701.
This is also a head-scratching move as Kupp will be 32 when the 2025 season starts. From an efficiency standpoint last season, Kupp was 60th in fantasy points per target at 1.75 and 65th in expected points added at +23.5. While Matthew Stafford can support multiple alpha weapons in Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp with optimism towards Stafford supporting Nacua and Davante Adams in 2024, Sam Darnold does not inspire the same level of confidence in supporting both JSN and Cooper Kupp.
As this move is puzzling from a redundancy standpoint at the wide receiver position, it also brings questions about the stage in which the Seahawks are as far as team building towards being a winning team. Adding an aging, oft injured receiver who will be 32 is not ideal. The Rams have won the ‘sign a 32-year-old’ sweepstakes while the Seahawks are running in place.
The Rams and Seahawks are seemingly headed in different directions. While real NFL circumstances are to be noted, take advantage of any dip in JSN’s dynasty stock and best ball ADP by scooping him up anywhere you can!

Wide Receiver Davante Adams has signed a 2 year deal worth $46 Million, $26 Million guaranteed with the Los Angeles Rams.
Legendary wide reciever Davante Adams was rumored to join quarterback Aaron Rodgers in LA with the Rams. That was when it seemed that Matthew Stafford was leaving the Rams. Stafford ended up signing an extension to stay in LA. Davante Adams makes it to LA without his long time quarterback, after signing a 2-year $46 million deal with $26 million guaranteed. The 32 year old will join recievers Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, with Cooper Kupp on the way out the door. Adams will step into the Kupp role and continue that connection with Stafford. This puts the Rams offense into the top 10 in the NFL. In 2024, Davante played 3 games for the Raiders and was traded to the Jets to play with Rodgers. In the next 11 games Adams would record 67 catches, 864 yards, and 7 touchdowns.
Adams still has the juice to be a productive reciever as he finished 2024 as WR-11. He won’t have to be the focal point of the offense with Nacua in the line up. The Rams offense should be explosive with Stafford’s arm talent throwing to both Adams and Nacua, with the run game included with Kyren Williams. As long as the team stays healthy the Rams will have two top ten wide receivers along with a top ten quarterback. Every Rams offensive player should be acquired in every format of fantasy.
