Derrick Henry
Ravens Extend King Henry's Contract

The Baltimore Ravens and star tailback Derrick Henry have agreed to terms on a contract extension, per Adam Schefter.

Ravens running back Derrick Henry, former Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Pro, plans to stay in Baltimore for a couple more seasons. The two parties announced that they’ve agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $30 million, including $25 million guaranteed. The new deal intends for Henry to be a Raven until the 2028 offseason. At that point, Henry will be in his mid-30s and could be eyeing retirement, so it appears he’ll finish his professional career with Baltimore.

One of the most dominant running backs of his era, and arguably beyond that, Henry spent his entire career with the Tennessee Titans until last season. He accounted for nearly 11,000 yards from scrimmage for Tennessee in eight seasons. Henry picked up right where he left off and was a natural fit alongside two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson last season. He hit the ground running and had the second-best season of his career after joining Baltimore, coming up just shy of 2,000 rushing yards. While most running backs tend to see a significant dip in athleticism and production in their late 20s and early 30s, Henry continues to defy all expectations. He turned 31 years old in January, but has shown no signs of slowing down. Fans and fantasy football managers can continue to count on King Henry to put up big numbers until he calls it a career.
