Fowler reports that an extension for Parker Washington could come before week 1, which is Parker Washington’s preference, but the Jaguars are comfortable with negotiating into the regular season. Washington’s 2.2 YPRR ranked 16th last season as he really broke out the back half of last season.

While it is understandable why Washington wants to get it done earlier and the Jaguars are open to wanting to see a little more that the breakout was real, both sides seem motivated to get this done.
