3rd round rookie WR Ja’Kobi Lane and his spectacular catch radius were the talk of Ravens 2026 training camp. Lane impressed teammates and beat reporters on the practice fields; and his play in preseason had fantasy gamers dreaming of the next big thing. The hype could have gone through the roof if week 1 was more cooperative. Early in the 2nd quarter, he had what would have been his first ever NFL TD taken away due to a holding call, then fractured his wrist sometime in the 2nd half.

After further testing, Jakobi will now undergo surgery as soon as Wednesday and he is expected to be back in “around a month” per Matt Zenitz. Until then, consider him a buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues. Ravens lead WR Zay Flowers also left the game but his injury was deemed not serious as NFL Networks Ian Rapoport reports that Zay would have returned to the game if it were the playoffs. Lamar Jackson will have to rely on veteran pass catchers Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman until Flowers and Lane return, but the Ravens will probably just lean on the run game with future Hall of Fame RB Derrick Henry. ~Justin Teck
