Isiah Pacheco listed as lead running back on Kansas City Chiefs’ unofficial first depth chart with Brashard Smith listed fourth.
The Kansas City Chiefs have Isiah Pacheco at the top of their running back depth chart heading into their first preseason game. Meanwhile seventh round rookie Brashard Smith is listed fourth.
Kareem Hunt and Elijah Mitchell are listed second and third, respectively, on the depth chart. Smith has been a bit of a fantasy darling but it’s not surprising to see the day three rookie listed behind the veterans at this time.
This is Pacheco’s job to lose, Hunt and Mitchell are simply depth pieces at this point of their careers and Smith is the high upside rookie, the most likely outcome is that they all see the field this season. However, Pacheco is the safe floor play selection for fantasy managers and Smith is the league winning late round dart throw.
