A.J. Brown's ADP is Rising on UnderDog

With a shift in offensive philosophy, A.J. Brown’s fantasy stock has taken a hit to no fault of his own.

A.J. Brown’s average draft position has raised 4.3 spots on UnderDog since January 27th. from 22.5 up to 18.2. This move is notable as it is significantly more difficult to move up the ADP board in the earlier rounds of drafts.

Drafters have gotten savvy to the price dip for A.J. Brown and adjusted to a misprint in his initial ADP. Last year, A.J. Brown was going at the 1-2 turn in drafts and is now priced later in the 2nd round. Part of the dip involves the Eagles being last in team pass attempts per game in the NFL in 2024 at 28.7.

Despite the low passing volume, A.J. Brown managed to be the WR-15. He was 1st in air yards share at 48.3%, 3rd in yards per route run at 2.82, and 1st in yards per team pass attempt at 3.17. A.J. Brown’s 126 score in explosive rating was 4th best at wide receiver. The rise in ADP is simply the market reacting to A.J. Brown still being a player in his prime while in a less optimal setting as the Eagles offense favors the run game led by Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts.
