The fantasy football landscape consistently informs itself. Dynasty player values inform best ball ADP, which then informs where players go in redraft, and redraft ADP can be used to find values in dynasty.
Today, we will focus on finding dynasty startup values by comparing a player’s dynasty starting ADP (courtesy of Dynasty Data Lab) to their ADP on Underdog. With that in mind, following are four players to target in dynasty start-ups that, based on their Underdog ADP, are huge values for your roster.

All’s Fair in Dynasty!
Jaylen Warren | RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Dynasty ADP 114.5 | Mid-10th Round
Underdog ADP 76 | Early 7th Round
As a running back past his age-apex and entering his age-27 season, it is no surprise that Jaylen Warren‘s best-ball ADP is higher than his dynasty number. However, this chasm between his best ball and dynasty ADPs seems a bit too much. Warren has the type of pass-catching profile that ages a bit more gracefully than his “grinder” running back brethren.
Since 2023, Warren has been in the top 10 among all running backs in yards per route run (YPRR). In addition to being the presumed early-down back, he is set up to also be the primary passing option out of the backfield this year for an aging Aaron Rodgers. He will also likely soak up targets from whichever rookie replaces Rodgers in 2027. If you need an RB2 as the season approaches, see if you can target Warren in a trade for cheap to fill your lineup.
Chris Godwin | WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dynasty ADP 145.3 | Early 13th Round
Underdog ADP 89.1 | Mid-8th Round
Chris Godwin is another player for whom the chasm between his best ball ADP and dynasty startup ADP is understandable. He is now entering his age-30 season and hasn’t played a full season since 2023, when he finished as the WR34 in FPPG. Godwin disappointed last season, with only an 18.3% target share (over parts of six games), his worst since 2018. With Emeka Egbuka on a second-year breakout trajectory, Jalen McMillian still around, and incoming rookie Ted Hurst competing with Godwin for targets, it’s possible he fails to revert to his 20%+ target share from 2024.

However, this possibility is something that competing teams should lean into and attempt to acquire Godwin. He is currently attainable as the WR42 on Underdog. He is well inside the first 100 picks, which means most teams that are comfortable can take him as their dynasty WR3 or WR4. If you are able to add him at a discount due to the aforementioned age, injury, and target competition concerns, he carries enough short-term upside to help any contender.
What’s Good for Best Ball is Great for Dynasty!
Quentin Johnston | WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Dynasty ADP 122.4 | Early 11th Round
Underdog ADP 87.7 | Early 8th Round
There is considerable ambiguity surrounding Quentin Johnston‘s long-term role with the Chargers. While Los Angeles did pick up his fifth-year option and he is now on the team through 2027, uncertainty remains as to where he fits in the new Chargers’ offensive scheme. With the addition of Mike McDaniel as offensive coordinator, many best ball drafters are eager to add Johnston, as there will likely be spike weeks.
Dynasty players should also be eager to draft for Johnston. He will turn 25 during the 2026 season and is entering the prime of his career. He is also coming off the best season of his career, seeing a career high 1,008 Air Yards, and averaging 12.2 FPPG. Another top-24 wide receiver finish is well within the range of outcomes, not only this year, but in 2027 as well. Buy QJ based on this ADP discrepancy.
RB Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers
Dynasty ADP 129.7 | Late 11th Round
Underdog ADP | 108.3 Early 10th Round
Jonathon Brooks was selected in the second round of the 2024 draft by the Panthers. He has played in only four games since then, thanks mainly to a lingering ACL injury. Now healthy, Brooks has been generating a lot of buzz in OTAs with the suggestion that he could push incumbent Chuba Hubbard for bell cow duties.

While Hubbard is signed with the Panthers through 2028, the runway is clear for Brooks to take over primary lead back duties in Carolina. If he is able to do this, the present opportunity is the final buy-low opportunity. Best ball drafters are already selecting Brooks as if he will take over the job at some point in 2026. Time for dynasty gamers to catch up.
The Jonathon Brooks hype train is about to leave the station. All aboard!
