Browns starting RB Quinshon Judkins was spotted in a walking boot on his right foot in the locker room following Sunday’s loss to the Jets. Judkins had 14 carries for 44 yards and 3 receptions for 6 yards on 4 targets, and did not exit the game due to any injury. Still, the sight of a boot is worrisome given that it’s the same leg where Judkins suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle 10 months ago.
Judkins’ direct backup is Raheim “The Rocket” Sanders, but he suffered a hip injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. With Dylan Sampson still on IR, that leaves UDFA Jaleel McLaughlin and practice-squad addition Jaret Patterson as the Browns’ only remaining running backs. Fantasy football managers must monitor this situation closely because McLaughlin shapes up as a priority waiver wire target for Judkins managers if both Judkins and Sanders miss time. ~Jason Diaz

Cleveland Browns running back Dylan Sampson gave dynasty ...
Dylan Sampson left Week 1’s loss vs. the Jaguars due to a knee injury and left the stadium using crutches and wearing a knee brace. Sampson was hurt about halfway through the first quarter during a kickoff return.
Sampson was at least able to come back to the sideline and test his knee out in an attempt to return to the game after putting a brace on it, so it doesn’t seem like a long-term injury. However, Cabot reports that his knee will be put through further tests Monday to determine the severity of the injury. Sampson is expected to play the pass catching RB role for the Browns this season, a role that 2nd year player Raheim “Rocket” Sanders took over once Sampson left the game. Fantasy football managers will need to keep an eye on the results of Monday’s tests for a potential timeline of how long Sampson will be sidelined.
Quinshon Judkins is working his way back from a major late-season leg injury, but his rookie-year metrics prove he is a foundational piece after commandingly securing a 51.1-percent Snap Share in Cleveland’s backfield. Despite the early exit, he delivered 827 rushing yards and a 27.8-percent Dominator Rating, flashing real utility inside the 20-yard line with 33 red zone touches.
If he avoids any setbacks through August, running behind an upgraded offensive line makes him a clear value option hidden in plain sight. At age 22.7, Judkins is an affordable cornerstone asset for fantasy football dynasty leagues.
Quinshon Judkins is expected to be a full participant in training camp this July, with the rose-colored glasses-wearing Berry suggesting he could return for non-contact drills as early as May OTAs. While Judkins will surely miss some early workouts, he is on track to rejoin teammates for various field activities throughout the spring.
Judkins should retake the field in time for June minicamp. At just 22.4 years old, Judkins remains a premium dynasty league assets. Buy the injury dip and the Cleveland backfield uncertainty.
Jerome Ford will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Since week 7, Ford had not seen a snap share above 40% and he hasn’t finished any better than the RB28 on a given week in 2025.
Ford had some early season appeal when Quinshon Judkins was dealing with legal trouble, but that quickly evaporated once Judkins joined the team. Expect Ford to draw meager interest in the offseason in a support role to a lead back. For dynasty, Ford is best left at the back end of rosters as his best days are more than likely behind him.

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski says rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is day to day.
Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is day to day after suffering a shoulder injury in week eight. Judkins will have the week nine bye to rest his shoulder.
Judkins took over the Browns backfield this season, he only rushed for nineteen yards in week eight but the week prior he scored three touchdowns. Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson combined for just four touches this week, which reinforces how they’ve become just role players with Judkins on the field.
The day to day description paired with Cleveland’s bye this week paints an optimistic view on Judkins week ten outlook but Ford and Sampson are speculative adds in case this injury is worse than expected.
