Browns RB Quinshon Judkins was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Judkins tweaked his ankle against the Jets in week 5, causing him to miss Cleveland’s week 6 game against the Ravens. Todd Monken said he is “optimistic” that Judkins will return to action in week 7.

The Browns are also expecting the return of another year 2 RB in Dylan Sampson, who has not played since suffering a knee injury in week 1. Sampson was listed as a limited participant in practice this week and is trending towards a week 7 return as well.

Among 34 qualified RBs (50+ carries), Judkins ranks 33rd in EPA/rush and rush success rate, leading only David Montgomery in both categories, making him one of the least efficient backs in the NFL thus far. Additionally, Sampson was injured on special teams in the first quarter of week 1, so we haven’t had the chance to see what this backfield was meant to look like under Todd Monken. Fantasy managers may be excited to put Judkins right back into their starting lineup against the Titans, but he is far from must-start material. ~Nick Del Duca (@TheFFScout_x)
