Seahawks rookie wideout Tory Horton has a blow up game on Sunday Night Football against the Commanders.
Tory Horton made the most of his post bye week opportunity in the absence of the injured Cooper Kupp. Horton wasted little time by connecting with Sam Darnold on 2 touchdowns.
Horton had a 4-48-2 line while star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba went 8-129 on 9 targets. Heading into Monday Night Football, Horton is the WR7 on the week paired with JSN who is the WR6. This 6-7 combination cannot be stopped! It is looking like Horton will have a significant role in the offense regardless of Kupp’s status.

Tory Horton is getting reps with the No. 1 offense in Seattle and continues to make plays.
Tory Horton has been working primarily with the ones in recent weeks, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling mixing in with the twos. Horton has reportedly flashed as a field stretcher and in the red zone, developing chemistry with QB Sam Darnold. Fan favorite Jake Bobo will likely see snaps as well, but outside of him and MVS, competition for the team’s WR3 is thin.
Seattle’s receiving room will have a different look this year. The team released Tyler Lockett and traded DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh. Jaxon Smith-Njigba appears to be an alpha in the making, and he and newly acquired Cooper Kupp should have guaranteed snaps to start the season.
There should be significant targets up for grabs outside of those two, however, with Lockett, Metalf, and Noah Fant no longer with the team. Horton will be an intriguing player to watch this preseason and may be worth a flyer in dynasty leagues if he continues to make waves.
Tory Horton had a solid combine performance after battling injuries in his 5th year and being wildly productive in his Junior and Senior seasons.
Horton gained over 2,200 receiving yards during his third and fourth years in college, while injuries limited him to only 5 games in his fifth year. Horton shared during combine interviews that continuing to gain weight and getting his degree were reasons he didn’t declare for the draft in previous years.
At the Combine, Horton came in measuring 6’2″, 196 lbs. His 40-yard dash time of 4.41 and 37.5″ vertical are both impressive marks for his size, earning him a 9.4 RAS score. The craziest part is that he did all this after undergoing surgery for a season-ending knee injury suffered in October 2024. It’s safe to say Horton will only continue to improve on his athleticism as he has more time to recover.
Horton will not be a wildly talked about player leading up to the draft, but he was the heart and soul of CSU’s offense when healthy, even with defenses keying in on shutting him down. Fantasy Managers should look into Horton’s tape from 2022 and 2023 and be aware of the potential he has to be a sleeper at the next level.
