Kayshon Boutte has totaled 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two seasons, emerging as the Patriots X receiver with a 17.5 average depth of target. The arrival of Romeo Doubs and a potential trade for A.J. Brown may leave Boutte as an expendable piece in the Patriots’ reshaped receiving corps.
As Boutte enters the final year of his rookie deal, he is a valuable trade asset for teams seeking an inexpensive outside playmaker before he hits free agency. Though Boutte is better than Doubs, earning a Doubs-level contract in 2027 is his best-case scenario.

Despite stalled talks, the Patriots remain the primary destination for A.J. Brown, with defacto GM Eliot Wolf now refusing to shut the door on a blockbuster move for Philadelphia’s alpha wideout. A post-June 1 trade appears the most likely window for a deal, providing Drake Maye with a legitimate WR1 and instantly solidifying Brown’s status as a high-volume anchor receiver for fantasy football.
This the most critical roster situation to monitor before NFL training camp begins. Brown joining the New England offense would created more dynasty value than it costs. Brown, Maye and DeVonta Smith would surge at the expense of Jalen Hurts and the newly signed Romeo Doubs.
With the Eagles’ salary-cap constraints easing after June 1, league executives increasingly view an A.J. Brown trade as inevitable, citing a three-year production dip and a career-low 12.9 yards per catch (No. 44). Despite these concerns, Brown’s posted a formidable 29.5% target share (No. 9) and 2.14 yards per route run (No. 18) during his 1,003-yard 2025 campaign. At the NFL Owner’s Meetings, both Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and Eagles GM Howie Roseman offered non-committal responses regarding the star receiver’s future, further fueling speculation of a potential move to New England.
About to turn 29 with a knee requiring constant maintenance, Brown’s game is in decline. A trade to the Patriots would provide the value boost that dynasty league managers have been waiting for to unload a quintessential win-now wide receiver.
Rookie wide receiver Savion Williams was held out of practice today at Green Bay Packers training camp. Williams was a third round selection for the Packers in the 2025 NFL Draft and had made a few nice catches at the start of training camp.
Williams is competing for snaps in a crowded Green Bay wide receiver room so he won’t want to miss much time but the team is prioritizing his health in this situation.
Williams is behind Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks on the depth chart and is a late round dart throw in fantasy drafts, the concussion won’t help his stock but also wouldn’t expect his ADP to fall much either.

Veteran wide receiver Romeo Doubs was suspended for week five by the Green Bay Packers. This was due to off the field internal issues. The Packers expect Doubs to return for their week six matchup.
The most bizarre thing about the situation is that from the outside there wasn’t a noticeable or discernible drop in opportunity or playing time for the veteran Packers wide receiver. Christian Watson was already nursing an ankle injury.
Despite missing Week 5’s contest, Doubs still ranks second in receptions on the Packers wide receiver corps on the season. Doubs projects as a weekly WR4/5 moving forward.
