Woody Marks Bio

Jo'Quavious "Woody" Marks, born on December 29, 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia, is a 5-foot-10-inch, 207-pound running back known for his versatility and pass-catching prowess. He began his collegiate career at Mississippi State University, where he set a school record with 60 receptions as a freshman in 2020. Throughout his tenure with the Bulldogs, Marks accumulated 3,016 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns, along with 261 receptions for 1,546 yards and five touchdowns over four seasons. In 2024, he transferred to the University of Southern California (USC), leading the Trojans with 1,133 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 47 receptions for 321 yards.

Marks is recognized for his agility, vision, and proficiency as a receiver out of the backfield, making him a valuable asset in modern NFL offenses that favor versatile running backs. At the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, he demonstrated solid athleticism, recording a 4.54-second 40-yard dash, 18 bench press reps, a 35-inch vertical jump, and a 4.24-second 20-yard shuttle. However, some scouts note concerns regarding his breakaway speed and power running between the tackles. Projected as a mid-to-late round pick, Marks has drawn interest from teams like the Washington Commanders, who value his dual-threat capabilities and experience.
