Daniel Jones Leads Colts to Victory

Daniel Jones’ huge performance against the Miami Dolphins led the Colts to a victory in week one.

Indianapolis Colts’ new quarterback Daniel Jones led the team to victory and helped snap the NFL’s longest active opening day winless streak at eleven. Jones ran for two touchdowns as well as throwing another to veteran wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. He was effective and consistent on Sunday, throwing for 272 yards and rushing for another twenty-six. “I think we played well as a team. It’s a good start. I think we feel good about the start. But I think everyone on our team is mature enough to know we have to continue to grow and improve, and I think that’s the mindset of our team now.” Jones stated post-game.

Many questioned who would be the starter heading into the season, but it was Jones beating out Anthony Richardson. The Colts’ primary beneficiaries on Sunday were Michael Pittman Jr, who finished the day with eight catches, 60 yards and a score, as well as rookie tight end Tyler Warren, who had seven receptions for 76 yards. Both players are early winners for fantasy, as there was much uncertainty about this team being able to produce points. The Colts know there is a lot of work to be done heading into week two against a tough Denver Broncos team, but if Jones can stay poised like he did against the Dolphins, look for more fantasy relevance from this team.

Pick 14. Colts Draft Tyler Warren

The Colts land a player in a clear position of need for them After multiple seasons of poor TE play. They might have picked the best one in the draft in Tyler Warren. Certainly as far as versatility for an offence is concerned.

The Penn State TE who had a spectacular 2024 will look to make an immediate impact on this team.

The Colts use the 14th pick to surround their 3rd year raw QB Anthony Richardson with help. After a season for the Colts littered with drops especially from the tight ends.

In a prove it year for multiple people in Indianapolis with the coach Shane Steichan, the GM Chris Ballard and Anthony Richardson all on the hot seat this draft will be crucial to their success. Warren will help with the development of the offense.

The Colts Have Heavy Interest in Drafting a Tight End
7 months ago

With the NFL Draft just a few days away, the Colts have interest in a 3-down tight end.

The rookie tight end draft class is very deep for the 2025 NFL Draft. The Indianapolis Colts have been slated to draft a tight end with their first round pick at 14 in several mock drafts from industry experts.

Colts GM Chris Ballard recently spoke to how much the Colts want a 3-down tight end. Ballard’s sentiments are in regard to having someone who can not tip the Colts’ offensive game plan as far as whether a play is a run or a pass. Part of the sentiment behind the need for an all around tight end is how effective they are for an offense.

Since George Kittle is already on the San Francisco 49ers, a similar archetype player would be Penn State’s Tyler Warren. Should the Colts go with Tyler Warren, dynasty rosters that have Jelani Woods and Mo Alie-Cox would need to make alternate plans.

Tyler Warren Skips Combine Drills: Draft Impact?

Tyler Warren, the standout tight end from Penn State, has opted out of participating in on-field drills at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, though he is still meeting with teams and taking part in interviews. So far, he’s met with 12 teams, including the Giants, Colts, Buccaneers, Jets and Broncos. Despite skipping the combine workouts, Warren’s status as one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft remains unchanged, and he’s expected to be a first-round pick. Over his five-year college career, Warren posted 153 receptions for 1,839 yards and 19 touchdowns. His 104 receptions for 1,228 yards and eight touchdowns in his final season further solidified his place as a top-tier tight end.

For fantasy football, Warren’s draft outlook remains highly promising. His decision to opt out of the combine drills won’t significantly affect his draft stock, as his college production and interviews with teams speak volumes about his potential. With his impressive size and athleticism, Warren is likely to be a key player in any NFL offense. Expect him to make an immediate impact, potentially as a top target in the red zone and a key contributor in the passing game. For fantasy gamers, Warren is a player to monitor closely as his draft landing spot could determine his role early in his career.
