The Dolphins activated Bell from the active/non football injury list as he continues his comeback from the torn ACL he suffered last season at Louisville. Miami spent the 94th overall pick on Bell for a reason. The big bodied outside receiver posted 72 catches for 917 yards and six touchdowns in his final college season, giving the Dolphins a much needed dose of size and playmaking ability.

The big question is how quickly he can shake off the rust. Miami’s receiver room is far from intimidating, and that could create a massive opportunity for Bell as the season progresses. If his knee holds up and he gets back to form, don’t be surprised if this rookie forces his way into a much bigger role and potentially onto the fantasy radar by the end of the season.

The Miami Dolphins placing Chris Bell on the active/NFI list as he recovers from last December’s ACL tear puts his early-season involvement in immediate jeopardy. Before the injury, he displayed real high-volume capability at Louisville, posting a 38.6-percent College Dominator Rating and a 31.1-percent Target Share.

Missed offseason reps and a mid-season activation make him unusable in redraft, though fantasy football managers should monitor his late-season activation window. On a positive note, every dynasty manager who drafted Bell in rookie drafts just opened up a free roster spot.

The Miami Dolphins just secured a 222-pound YAC-monster at No. 94 overall in Chris Bell, a physical specimen who pairs a rugged 2.47 Yards Per Route Run with the alpha-dog frame to bully cornerbacks at the third level. Bell posted a dominant 38.6% College Dominator Rating and a healthy 31.1% Target Share (92nd-percentile), proving he possesses the high-volume ability to anchor the Dolphins’ passing attack despite a late-season ACL tear clouding his pre-draft process.

In dynasty formats, it is a nuts landing spot for Bell who could be the alpha in Miami’s redesigned offense with quarterback Malik Willis.
