Tyreek Hill
More Offseason Drama for Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill made news Wednesday when police were called to his place of residence following an alleged domestic dispute.

Another offseason, another controversy for Tyreek Hill. Police received a call from Hill’s mother-in-law accusing the 31-year-old wide receiver of being a threat to her daughter and their child. No charges have been pressed at this time. However, Hill has had a litany of off-the-field issues leading up to this incident, which may warrant punishment from the NFL. Further developments are worth monitoring.

Hill has a history of domestic violence, having been brought up on charges involving an incident with his then-girlfriend in 2014 while playing at Oklahoma State. He was under police investigation in 2019 for suspicion of battery involving his three-year-old son, although all charges were eventually dropped. Hill faced discipline for slapping a marina dock worker in 2023 and again for allegedly breaking the leg of an Instagram model in 2024. Hill has managed to walk a pretty thin line with little consequence over the years, but his volatile behavior is becoming increasingly concerning.

Questions regarding Hill’s fantasy sustainability were already in play leading into the 2025 season after averaging a disappointing 12.8 fantasy points per game last year. Hill’s stock will plummet even further now in Best Ball formats, and he should be considered a hold in dynasty leagues while we await the resulting aftermath of this incident. It’s also worth mentioning that Tyreek recently walked back claims that he may retire in the coming years. However, this latest controversy only adds more murkiness surrounding his future in the league.
