Treylon Burks- Out for Week 4 with Knee Injury
9 months ago

Treylon Burks is dealing with a left knee injury and has been ruled out for the Titans week 4 matchup against the Bengals.

This one is certainly interesting if you’re into conspiracies. Burks was caught on video spraining the LCL in his left knee this preseason. Most who saw the video expected Burks to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks and miss the start of the season. To his credit, he’s been able to tough it out to this point and has played the first 3 weeks.

Tennessee Coach, Mike Vrabel, stated that Burks missing week 4 with a knee injury isn’t a re-aggravation of his initial LCL sprain. That said, anyone with eyes has been able to see Burks hasn’t seemed fully himself and has been constantly seen practicing with a multitude of different support mechanisms around his left leg. We’ll have to take the coaches word for it, but this seems like something that has been a lingering issue. Vrabel wasn’t willing to confirm that this would only be a 1 week absence.

For Fantasy Managers in redraft, now is the time to consider moving on from Burks for a player that has established themselves as a go-to weapon in a decent offense. At this point, Burks can’t say either of those things. Against the Bengals, Chig Okonkwo is a viable TE streaming option in deeper leagues with the news of Burks being ruled out. While DeAndre Hopkins is the only receiver from the Titans that should be considered for Fantasy lineups, it’s worth monitoring how Chris Moore will eat into Nick Westbrook-Ikhine’s role as the number 2 wide receiver. Westbrook is seeing more snaps, but Moore has been the more explosive player this season.
