Travis Etienne had a down year in 2024 and drafters are taking advantage of a dip in ADP.
Travis Etienne has seen a significant rise in average draft position on Underdog. Since February 11th, Etienne has jumped up 3.1 spots in ADP. Since January 27th, Etienne has moved up 34.6 spots.
Etienne soared from RB-40 in round 12 to RB-32 in round 9. Drafters have seen an initial misprint and have continued steaming Etienne up the draft board. As he approaches getting inside the top-100, there will likely be a cooling of his ADP. While players who get drafted with 1st round pedigree in the NFL have a way of bouncing back, it is no guarantee Etienne will revert to his 16.6 fantasy points per game which ranked 7th at running back in 2023.
In the event Travis Etienne can return to form, selecting him in round 9 still makes a lot of sense. In 2023, Etienne was No.4 in best ball points added with 169.2. Risk management comes into play over the course of drafting a portfolio of best ball teams. It is wise to get requisite exposure in the 8% range with such a palatable price being offered for Travis Etienne.
