Travis Etienne at RB31 Could be a Steal of 2025 Fantasy Drafts

Travis Etienne’s RB31 ADP on Underdog offers intriguing value for fantasy managers heading into the 2025 season. After a strong 2023 campaign in which he finished with over 1,400 total scrimmage yards and 11 touchdowns, Etienne’s potential was on full display. His dual-threat ability, rushing for 1,008 yards on 267 attempts and adding 476 receiving yards on 58 catches, made him a key fantasy contributor, particularly in PPR formats. While his 3.8 yards per carry in 2023 wasn’t stellar, Etienne’s consistent touches and versatility in both the rushing and passing games solidified his status as a high-upside fantasy asset. Fast forward to 2024, and Etienne’s role became more nuanced with the emergence of rookie Tank Bigsby, who took over short-yardage and goal-line situations, leading to a slight dip in Etienne’s rushing volume.

Looking ahead to 2025, there’s reason for optimism, especially with a revamped offensive line and the influence of new Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen. Coen has a proven history of utilizing running backs in the passing game, and with Etienne’s skills as a pass-catcher, he could see a larger role in that area. While Bigsby likely continues to take on more rushing duties, Etienne’s value in PPR formats could rise if he’s featured more prominently in the passing game. His ability to contribute in multiple facets of the offense, combined with the potential for increased receiving work, makes him a very appealing option at RB31. With his versatility, steady workload, and an evolving offense, Etienne could be primed for a bounce-back season, offering solid upside at a discounted price.
