Stefon Diggs 2025 NFL landing spots for maximal fantasy impact.
When the Houston Texans traded for the former All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs, they restructured his contract to allow him to become a free agent this off-season. We will discuss 3 ideal spots for Diggs to remain fantasy relevant coming off of his season ending ACL tear in 2024.
Houston Texans- The Texans are already familiar with Diggs and he was voted a captain for the team during his brief tenure. Diggs was the 2nd leading receiver before his season-ending injury. Tank Dell is expected to miss all of 2025 after a gruesome injury. The problem is that the Texans project to be over the 2025 cap number, but only by approximately 100k dollars.
Green Bay Packers- The Packers workhorse and gem of their 2024 free agency class running back Josh Jacobs said they need a “proven” number 1 wideout. Diggs could provide that for them if given a clean bill of health. Christian Watson was supposed to be that, but it never materialized. The Packers are projected to have 42 million in cap space.
Washington Commanders- The Commanders could provide Diggs with an opportunity to secure a payday and return home, as Diggs played in high school at Good Counsel High School, and then collegiately at Maryland. Diggs and longtime Commander Terry Mclaurin could provide a lethal 1-2 punch. The Commanders have 75 million in projected cap space for 2025 and will be in the market to upgrade their wr2 position in free agency or the draft.
These 3 landing spots could allow Stefon Diggs to return to fantasy relevance. For now, the future for the former fantasy WR1 remains murky due to the uncertainty surrounding his future with both his health and employment.
