After suffering a late-season ACL tear, Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson is not expected to start the 2025 season on the active roster.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is not expected to start the 2025 season on the active roster due to his torn ACL suffered at the end of the 2024 season.
Watson has suffered a variety of soft tissue injuries throughout his career, but the ACL tear may be the most devastating to date. Watson set career highs in receiving yards and yards per target in 2024, but only scored two touchdowns and finished with his fewest fantasy points of his career.
The Packers may look to free agency or the draft to address the schematic hole left by Watson’s anticipated long-term absence. Wicks, Reed, and Doubs should continue to see looks, but Watson’s unique skill set is unreplicated by WRs currently on the roster.
Even if Watson returns during the 2025 season, it is unlikely that he makes a significant Fantasy impact. Watson finished as a top 15 wide receiver just once in 2024..
