Saquon Barkley Gets Revenge on Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles get their revenge on division rival New York Giants winning 38-20 in their Week 8 matchup.

The Philadelphia Eagles rolled past the New York Giants 38-20 on Sunday in a game dominated by big plays by the Eagles.  Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley led the way as Eagles offense overwhelmed Giants from start to finish.

Jalen Hurts was sharp and efficient completing 15 of 20 passes for 179 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He was in total command; he also added 22 yards on the ground.  Barkley gets his revenge on his former team.  He erupted for 150 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries; he added 4 receptions for 24 and another score.  He took the second play of the game for a 65-yard touchdown but did end up leaving the game due to a groin injury, will be interesting to see his status for Week 9, but Tank Bigsby in relief had 9 carries and 104 yards.  With star receiver AJ Brown missing Week 8 dealing with injury, DeVonta Smith stepped up and led the team in receiving with 6 catches for 84 yards.  Also, on National Tight End Day Dallas Goedert stepped up and caught 3 passes for 28 yards and two touchdowns.

As for the Giants, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for 193 yards and one touchdown and added 17 rushing yards and another score.  Unfortunately, for the Giants they lost star in the making rookie running back Cam Skattebo for the season with a dislocated ankle, that required surgery.  Before Skattebo’s injury he had 3 rushes for 12 yards and caught an 18-yard touchdown.  This is very devastating for Giants and Skattebo, going forward Tyrone Tracy Jr. will be the starter for the Giants.  He finished with 10 carries for 39 yards and two catches too.  Wan’Dale Robinson led the tea with just 3 catches for 48 yards.
