Robert Woods has missed the first two team practices of the week with a foot injury, and is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
Tank Dell truthers rejoice. Woods missing the first two practices this week after a bye last week is a strong indication that he’ll miss week 8.
Surprisingly, Woods is leading the Texans in targets, even though Dell and Nico Collins have been far more productive. Dell missed week 6 with a concussion and had a bye to further recover last week. He’s back to full participation in practice and is almost certain to return to a fantasy relevant role in week 8.
For Fantasy Managers, Collins should be locked into lineups as a high-end WR2. Dell is a very viable flex in week 8 against a Carolina Panthers Defense that is 29th in the NFL in QB pressures generated. Texans QB CJ Stroud has shown the ability to excel in a clean pocket and will be targeting Collins and Dell often this Sunday.
