After the recent news that the Eagles lost starting tight end Dallas Goedert to an MCL sprain, Philadelphia moved quickly to bring back a familiar face in 35-year-old Zach Ertz. Goedert is currently expected to miss a few weeks with the injury. Ertz spent eight seasons with the Eagles from 2013-21 before eventually spending the last two seasons with the Washington Commanders. The veteran tight end is also coming off a torn ACL that he suffered last December.

Ertz lands on the practice squad with the intent to push him up to the active roster. Goedert had an 11% target share through the first two weeks, so Ertz may not have an immediate fantasy impact even when he gets on the field. The Eagles also have Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins on the active roster, while rookie Eli Stowers could potentially return from injured reserve as soon as Week 5.
