Marquise Brown
Marquise "Hollywood" Brown Headed to IR

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint dislocation in the Chiefs’ first preseason game and is now headed to IR.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown suffered a significant shoulder injury on the first play of the Chiefs’ preseason. The dislocation was dangerously close to critical blood vessels, which forced an immediate hospital trip. After a few weeks of recovery, it was determined that his shoulder is not healing properly and that surgery will be needed. This turns his timetable from “weeks” to “months” according to Head Coach Andy Reid.

This setback significantly impacts the Chiefs’ high-powered offense, though Rashee Rice and rookie Xavier Worthy are poised to step up. Worthy, in particular, stands to benefit from increased targets, especially on deep passes. Fantasy football managers should cut bait with Brown and lean on Rice and Worthy if they want to be invested in this high-powered Chiefs offense.
