Will that Cardinal take flight? Kyler Murray said that he plans to run more in 2025, after having conversations with coaches about scheme.
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray wants to run more in 2025.
“I don’t want to get too scheme based, but I do feel like I have to run more next year,” Murray said. “I’m open to running more next year, just because it’s such a weapon, you know, it’s such a weapon.”
This quote comes after former Arizona Cardinals employees described how Murray was shying away from utilizing his rushing ability in 2024.
Murray hasn’t topped 80 rush attempts over the last three seasons, in part due to his ACL injury and recovery. In his interview, Murray admitted he wasn’t full-go at the start of 2024. Murray still finished with a career-high 7.3 yards per carry in 2024.
Murray was a Top-6 QB in fantasy both seasons he topped 90 rush attempts. Murray’s current ADP of QB9 leaves room for value if his rushing floor increases.
