Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts is a big winner of the NFL voting to not ban the tush push play.
The King of the Tush Push play shall remain! Jalen Hurts has been nigh unstoppable on this play. Hurts has had 52 rushing touchdowns since becoming a full time starter for the Eagles in 2021. Hurts has never been lower than QB6 in fantasy point per game in that time. The NFL has voted on potentially banning the tush push play citing player safety. The proposal need 24 of the 32 teams to pass the ban and only 22 voted to ban it. Former Eagles center Jason Kelce was present during the Eagles staff’s presentation for preserving the play. The plea was heard and the play was not banned. The Eagles have rarely been stopped on short yardage and goal line plays since implementing the tush push. The play involves the entire offense line getting as low as possible and driving straight ahead with the quarterback driving behind the linemen with additional help from the running backs and or tight ends pushing on the quarterback past the line to gain. The Green Bay Packers initiated the tush push play to be banned at the rules meeting, making the week 10 matchup in Green Bay a must watch game!
Jalen Hurts’ current ADP is QB4, which makes sense since Hurts is not the explosive runner that Lamar Jackson or Jayden Daniels are. Josh Allen is arguably the better passer of the two. Hurts is still expected to be the top touchdown scorer on goal line situations for the Eagles and the NFL in general. Hurts has also steadily been progressing as a passer so keep tapping him as one of your top QBs to draft in all formats.
