Every team needs players to fill out a roster. The need is greatest in the Summer when “camp bodies” allow regular players to take breaks, enjoy camaraderie, and study the team’s systems together. The thing is, sometimes, regardless of how far down the depth chart a camp body may be, they make the team. Jalen Guyton is the Raiders’ newest camp body.

With a career total of just over 1100 yards receiving on 71 catches and 7 touchdowns over 5 total seasons under former Chargers/current Raiders GM Tom Telesco, Guyton is a guy that Telesco trusts to work in camp and not be a problem. Guyton will be a good veteran mentor for young players and will help sharpen the skills of the defensive backs with his speed and experience. As far as 2024 in-season production is concerned, the Raiders likely aren’t counting on much.
