After about a month of trade rumors surrounding Travis Etienne after the Jaguars drafted two rookie running backs in April, Liam Coen praised Travis Etienne:

He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do, and more. There’s been a consistency. He can shine in ways in space… He’s done a great job. I don’t really understand some of the stuff I’ve kind of seen out there. That’s absolutely inaccurate.

While this puts immediate Etienne trade rumors to rest, the former 1st Round pick still faces long-term competition for touches from Tank Bigsby and Bhayshul Tuten. If the Jaguars go through camp, Etienne may be made available if his still set is found redundant later on in the depth chart. Tuten is currently drafted ahead of Etienne on most fantasy platforms, which may be putting the cart before the horse.
