Carson Wentz will be joining the Rams as the new backup QB, with Brett Rypien waived and no longer with the team.
Carson Wentz will be joining the Rams, with Brett Rypien waived and no longer with the team. Wentz will be the QB2 behind Matthew Stafford. The Rams are currently on their bye week, and with Stafford nursing a thumb injury, there is the uncertainty of Stafford being ready in Week 11. Carson Wentz will be forced into action as early as week 11 against the Seahawks. Wentz started seven games for the Commanders last season, throwing for 1,755 yards with 11 touchdowns, nine interceptions and an 80.2 passer rating. The Commanders released Wentz after he had spent only one season with the team. Carson Wentz is not currently a viable option for any fantasy managers at this time, unless playing in a deep Superflex league.
