San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy has been cleared to practice in full and is already working back into his role as starter.
Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL in his elbow in the NFC Championship and has spent the offseason recovering from surgery. The initial timeline had Purdy returning in early September, a timeline that Mr. Irrelevant crushed. Purdy will begin Training Camp by taking every third day off from throwing but is working with the First Team alongside Trey Lance and Sam Darnold.
Brock Purdy averaged 19.63 fantasy points across the seven games he started and finished, which would rank as the QB7 in PPG, behind Lamar Jackson and ahead of Kyler Murray. The 49ers have been adamant that Purdy will have the inside track to the starting job when healthy.
With a full training camp ahead of him to work out the kinks, Purdy is a lock to start Week 1. His backup could very well be Sam Darnold with Trey Lance trade rumors swirling throughout the offseason.
