2022 NFL Team Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders

With the departure of many interior linemen over the last three years, it’s time to build back from the inside. Darian Kinnard is a massive human, and the interior version of Trevor Penning in this draft. During the Senior Bowl, Kinnard had the opportunity to take that next step. But he fell behind his counterparts in Zion Johnson and Cole Strange. Previously discussed as an early-second rounder, the Raiders re-coup some value due to a poor Combine and mediocre Senior Bowl.

2022 NFL Team Mock Draft: Chicago Bears

Entering the Senior Bowl, Alec Pierce was thought of as a late third/early fourth round pick in the Draft. But not so fast. After two above-average to good days in Mobile, he left the Senior Bowl without playing in the game. I physically saw him leaving the airport, but I wasn’t going to be that guy to ask why. I just had to infer it was one of two things. Either he had received really good news from scouts and coaches, or he was hurt. And I didn’t see anything wrong with him.

2022 NFL Team Mock Draft: Green Bay Packers

by Cody Carpentier, April 8, 2022

PlayerProfiler/RotoUnderworld Head Game Analyst and NFL Draft Analyst Cody Carpentier is back for more; now breaking down his NFL Mock Draft 5.0 in a short team-by-team series. Next up is the Green Bay Packers. If you want to see your favorite team, go to Twitter @CarpentierNFL and leave Cody a comment on what team you want to see broken down next.

If you play any devy Fantasy Football, you remember the name George Pickens. He fits that mold of Davante Adams that all of the Packers fans are clamoring for. He dealt with injury at Georgia, tearing his ACL last spring causing him to miss most of the 2021 season. But he returned for the final stretch to make key plays for Georgia en route to a National Championship. He could’ve taken to the easy way out, knowing he was a potential first-round talent and just resting the knee to get healthy for the process. But he didn’t. He wanted to win.

2022 NFL Team Mock Draft: Minnesota Vikings

I can’t express how much it hurts me to see the top prospect on my Top 300 Big Board drop to Pick No. 12. From Nick Fairley to Warren Sapp and Laremy Tunsil, sometimes guys fall for a number of reasons. The 11-15 range is where they land. Here comes the value of the draft. Minnesota doesn’t need EDGE as bad as they did a month ago, but you can’t pass up on Kayvon Thibodeaux’s talent.

Cody Carpentier’s 2022 NFL Mock Draft 5.0

by Cody Carpentier, March 26, 2022

Brad Holmes spent 8 of 16 seasons with Les Snead in Los Angeles, and I would be doing this wrong if I didn’t remind folks what happened during Snead’s first draft back in 2012 while holding the No. 2 overall pick. If not at number 2, the Jets are another spot to look for Atlanta or Seattle to move up.

The benefit of trading away a franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson is reaping the reward with draft picks, and building from within.. the correct way to rebuild a franchise, Evan Neal and Jordan Davis in Round 1 is a smash.

Cody Carpentier’s 2022 NFL Draft Big Board – Top 300

by Cody Carpentier, March 22, 2022

After many many hours of Film Analysis, mixed with the results of the last month attending the NFL Combine and Reese’s Senior Bowl, I am ready to release the Top 300 Prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft. This list can change as new things come in, some would call “this is a Bayesian process” and while these prospects workout at their Pro Days this month and take Top-30 visits with NFL teams, things will change. But ever so slightly.

Things that are taken into account to come up with the below draft grades, you may wonder? 1. Film, 2. Athletic Profile, 3. Cody’s DAWG Rating(off-field actions/energy and on-field actions/energy), 4. Role in College vs NFL and how it will translate.

Dynasty Stock Watch: Isaiah Spiller and Kyren Williams

by Aditya Fuldeore, March 19, 2022

Isaiah Spiller’s lack of bounding range provides cause for concern with his 108.0 (7th-percentile among qualified running backs) Burst Score. In college, he was not a bruiser against larger defenders. And his elusiveness may not translate immediately to the NFL based on his lack of burst. His ability to be patient with good field vision will need to be more prevalent in order for him to overcome athletic inefficiencies against the rest of the draft class.

Kyren Williams ran an RB Combine-worst 4.65 (30th-percentile) 40-yard dash and jumped a low 32-inches in the vertical jump and 116-inches in the broad jump. His slow movement and lack of range as a small-frame back has hurt his stock, for both the NFL and fantasy football. Williams’ chances of being a three-down back in the NFL are looking slimmer. And his prospective draft capital has taken a hit.

Free Falling: 10 Players Whose Combines Hindered Their NFL Prospects

by Neil Dutton, March 13, 2022

Turning up at the NFL Scouting Combine and presenting 1st percentile-sized hands is going to make you stand out, but not in the way that Kenny Pickett would have liked.
David Bell had a week he would like to forget and forget quickly. He posted a 4.65 40 time, the second-lowest among all participating wide receivers. Bell then doubled down on the disappointment with a 4.57 short shuttle.
Slade Bolden needed a strong week at the Combine to ensure that he would be known for more than just being the best buddy of Mac Jones of the Patriots. With the Combine in the rearview mirror, Bolden is best known for being the best buddy of Mac Jones.

2022 NFL Team Mock Draft: Houston Texans

by Cody Carpentier, March 4, 2022

PlayerProfiler/RotoUnderworld Head Game Analyst and NFL Draft Analyst Cody Carpentier is back for more; now breaking down his NFL Mock Draft 4.0 in a short team-by-team series. Next up is the Houston Texans. If you want to see your favorite team, go to Twitter @CarpentierNFL and leave Cody a comment on what team you want to see broken down next.

The Houston Texans need a lot of help on defense, and what better way to cure it than taking the Biggest defender in the draft at pick 13 with Jordan Davis, and running it back in Round 4 with back-to-back speed edge rushers. Bonitto and Amare Barno are both a tad on the small side, but what they lack in size they make up for in Speed and Elusiveness. Barno finished two seasons at Virginia Tech with 21.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. While Bonitto gathered 26.5 tackles for loss and 16 sacks over that same stretch.
