Melvin Gordon is NOT an Obvious Sell-high Candidate in Fantasy Football

by Kevin McHugh, October 31, 2016

The fact that Philip Rivers is Melvin Gordon’s quarterback matters a lot. If you think that doesn’t matter, look at the season Lamar Miller is having with Brock Osweiler, or Todd Gurley with Case Keenum. In fact, the Houston Texas as a team are tied with Melvin Gordon in total offensive touchdowns.

The second running back the Chargers have selected in the first round over the past 5 years, San Diego is clearly pining for the next LaDainian Tomlinson, and while Gordon is not LaDainian Tomlinson, he did post above-average metrics across the board, and combined with elite college production and guaranteed NFL opportunity.

Devontae Booker: DFS Free Squares, Redraft Handcuffs, and Zero RB Success

by Kevin McHugh, October 29, 2016

Devontae Booker is nestled in the nexus of talent and opportunity. Denver’s new workhorse looks the part of a top-5 fantasy running back for the remainder of the 2016 season with C.J. Anderson on injured reserve.

With zero draft capital investment and below average athleticism, there is little reason to expect Kapri Bibbs or Juwan Thompson to cannibalize significant touches from Booker as the season progresses. It’s all systems go.

DFS Dreamers & Fantasy Streamers: Contrarian GPP and Deep Sleeper Plays for Week 8

by Eric McClung, October 28, 2016

Enough talk about “angry” Tom Brady. Now we have angry Ryan Fitzpatrick, who had this to say: “The biggest thing in this game is to have belief in yourself. Because when the owner stops believing in you and the GM stops believing in you and the coaches stop believing in you, sometimes all you have is yourself.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick sounds like a guy ready to shred the Cleveland Browns, owners of the 30th ranked pass DVOA. Every quarterback that has faced the Browns thus far has left the field with multiple touchdowns, including three scores in four of the last five.

Contrived Contrarian GPP DFS Plays of Week 7: Carson Wentz & Brandin Cooks

by The Podfather, October 23, 2016

Brandin Cooks’ 13.7 Volatility Score on PlayerProfiler is No. 3 among NFL wide receivers propelled by two 30-point weeks so far this season. DFS grinders often stay away from Saints players on the road, making Cooks a perfectly contrarian GPP play this week.

Rob Gronkowski’s presence does not marginalize Bennett as the Patriots have played two-tight end sets on 73-percent of plays since Gronkowski returned to the active lineup. Bennett has the size and athleticism to post a multi-touchdown game on any given week.

Top DFS Value Plays for NFL Week 7: Andy Dalton and Jacquizz Rodgers

by Brett Squires, October 23, 2016

Revenge game? Charles Clay and Mike Gillislee were drafted by the Dolphins and have found themselves on the Bills. Clay has five receptions in each of his last three games. With Robert Woods and LeSean McCoy looking doubtful, the passing game will need a playmaker.

The 49ers have been lit up by RB’s this season, notably LeSean McCoy, but they were also burned by one Fozzy Whittaker. Play Jacquizz Rodgers with confidence this week.
